Anders Söderholm (bandy)
Anders Söderholm (born 26 October 1961) is the current rector of the Mid Sweden University and was a professor in Business administration at Umeå School of Business. Söderholm obtained his PhD from Umeå University in 1991, with his thesis on organization of local industrial policies. On 2005 he became professor of business administration. A rector (Latin for 'ruler') is a senior official in an educational institution, and can refer to an official in either a university or a secondary school. Outside the English-speaking world the rector is often the most senior official in a university, whilst in the United States the most senior official is often referred to as president and in the United Kingdom and Commonwealth of Nations the most senior official is the chancellor, whose office is primarily ceremonial and titular.
