Stina Nordenstam
Kristina Ulrika Nordenstam (born 4 March 1969), better known by her stage name Stina Nordenstam, is a Swedish singer-songwriter and producer. Life and career Nordenstam was born in Stockholm on 4 March 1969. As a child, she was highly influenced by her father's classical and jazz music collection. Her debut album, '' Memories of a Color'', was released in 1991. Her album ''And She Closed Her Eyes'' was released in 1994, and was named the best Swedish album of all time by ''Sonic'' on their 2013 list of the 100 best Swedish albums. 1997's ''Dynamite'' began a more experimental path—most of the album was filled with distorted guitars and unusual beats. Talisman was a Swedish hard rock band. Founded in 1989 by the songwriting bassist Marcel Jacob and fronted by the American singer Jeff Scott Soto, the band released seven studio albums from 1990 to 2006, before going on a farewell tour in 2007. Jon Hassell
Jon Hassell (March 22, 1937 – June 26, 2021) was an American trumpet player and composer. He was best known for developing the concept of "Fourth World" music, which describes a "unified primitive/futurist sound" combining elements of various world ethnic traditions with modern electronic techniques. The concept was first articulated on '' Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics'', his 1980 collaboration with Brian Eno. Born in Tennessee, Hassell studied contemporary classical music in New York and later in Germany under composer Karlheinz Stockhausen. He subsequently worked with minimalist composers Terry Riley (on a 1968 recording of ''In C'') and La Monte Young (as part of his Theatre of Eternal Music group), and studied under Hindustani singer Pandit Pran Nath. Fleshquartet
Fleshquartet ( sv, Fläskkvartetten) is a Swedish band. Despite the band's name, Fläskkvartetten is in reality a quintet consisting of an electrical string quartet plus a percussionist. The band often collaborates with vocalists who comprise a veritable Who's Who of Swedish alternative music. The musical style ranges from classical string music to experimental rock. Three of the members, Örjan Högberg, Jonas Lindgren and Mattias Helldén, met at Royal College of Music in Stockholm in the 1970s. They were joined by Sebastian Öberg and Johan Söderberg before the band released their first album. Fläskkvartetten won a Grammis award for the best instrumental album for Goodbye Sweden in 1990 and another Grammis for best album with their 1993 album "Flow". Krister Linder
Krister Linder is a Swedish electronic musician. Krister started his music career in 1987 as the vocalist of the Swedish band Grace. Under the name Chris Lancelot, he was the vocalist of the Swedish band Dive from 1990 to 1994. Linder went on to compose and produce experimental electronic music until he released his first solo album as a vocalist, '' Songs from the Silent Years'' in 2006.
