Anchorsholme is an area of Blackpool, in the Borough of Blackpool in Lancashire, England. It is close to the town of Cleveleys and village of Thornton. Etymology The name Anchorsholme is thought to derive from the Old Scandinavian word 'holmr' meaning a piece of dry ground in a marsh forming an island, with the 'Anchors' meaning a location where one would fasten up a boat. The Borough of Blackpool is a local government district with unitary authority status and unparished area in the ceremonial county of Lancashire, England. It covers the large seaside town of Blackpool and includes notable suburbs such as South Shore, Blackpool, South Shore, North Shore, Blackpool, North Shore and the large village of Bispham, Blackpool, Bispham. John David Robb (born 4 May 1961Larkin, Colin (1998) ''The Virgin Encyclopedia of Indie & New Wave'', Virgin Books, , p. 272-3) is an English music journalist and singer. Robb writes for and runs the ''Louder Than War'' website and a monthly music magazine of the same name. He has written several books on music and occasionally makes media appearances as a music commentator. He is also the vocalist in the punk rock band Goldblade and bassist and vocalist in post punk band The Membranes. In 2014, Robb started and currently runs a music writing festival Louder Than Words which is held in Manchester, UK every November. In 2019 he launched a vegan festival in Manchester. The decennial 2021 censuses of England and Wales and of Northern Ireland took place on 21 March 2021, and the census of Scotland took place on 20 March 2022. Lancashire

Cleveleys
Cleveleys is a town on the Fylde Coast of Lancashire, England, about north of Blackpool and south of Fleetwood. It is part of the Borough of Wyre. With its neighbouring settlement of Thornton, Cleveleys was part of the former urban district of Thornton-Cleveleys and is part of the Blackpool Urban Area. In 2011 the Cleveleys Built-up area sub division had a population of 10,754. Thornton, Lancashire
Thornton is a village in the Borough of Wyre, about north of Blackpool and south of Fleetwood. The civil parish of Thornton became an urban district in 1900, and was renamed Thornton-Cleveleys in 1927. In 2011 the Thornton built-up area sub division had a population of 18,941. History Thornton is first mentioned in 1086 in the Domesday Book, where it was referred to as ''Torentum'' (a name preserved by Torentum Court on Lawsons Road). At the time it covered a large area including what are now Cleveleys and Fleetwood, and had a very low population density. It is thought that a settlement had existed at the site since the Iron Age, and a Roman road passes close to the village. 2007 UK Local Elections
The 2007 UK local government elections were held on 3 May 2007. These elections took place in most of England and all of Scotland. There were no local government elections in Wales though the Welsh Assembly had a general election on the same day. There were no local government elections in Northern Ireland. Just over half of English councils and almost all the Scottish councils began the counts on Friday, rather than Thursday night, because of more complex arrangements regarding postal votes. These elections were a landmark in the United Kingdom as it was the first time that 18- to 20-year-olds could stand as candidates for council seats. The change was due to an alteration of the Electoral Administration Act.
