Anchors Aweigh (album)
''Anchors Aweigh'' is the sixth studio album to be recorded by American punk rock band the Bouncing Souls. It was released on August 26, 2003 though Epitaph Records. Following the release of their fifth studio album '' How I Spent My Summer Vacation'' (2001), bassist Bryan Kienlen ended an intimate relationship and wrote new material as a result of it. Recording took place at Lakeview Farms, North Brookfield, Massachusetts, and Water Music, Hoboken, New Jersey, with John Seymour as the main producer, and Kienlen and guitarist Pete Steinkopf as co-producers. ''Anchors Aweigh'' is a pop-punk and punk-rock album that has a darker sound than its predecessor; the band experimented with melodies and rhythms during the writing stage. ''Anchors Aweigh'' received generally favorable reviews from critics, several of whom complimented The Bouncing Souls' musicianship. Randy (band)
Randy is a Swedish punk rock band from Hortlax, Sweden, formed in 1992. They were first inspired by skate punk bands like NOFX and Propagandhi but after the release of '' The Rest Is Silence'' and the departure of their bass player Patrik Trydvall, they radically changed their musical style and adopted an older sound reminiscent of Thin Lizzy, The Misfits and Ramones, heavily leaning on a fusion of garage punk and pop to form their new sound. Big Blue Meenie was a production house in Jersey City, New Jersey famous for its clientele. History The facility is located on 512 Paterson Plank Road, near Washington Park, and was built in the late 19th century. Prior to 1981, it was used by a chandelier factory, until it stopped operation in the late 20th century. Quantum Sound In 1981 Reggie Lucas, the producer of Madonna's self-titled first album, purchased the building and opened a recording studio, Quantum Sound Studios. By 1986 it was reported to feature the first SSL mix room, a 48 input SSL 4000 console with Total Recall, in Northern New Jersey as well as an extensive collection of MIDI synthesizers and gear and a Synclavier digital audio system.
