Anastasiia Smirnova (figure Skater)
Anastasiia Smirnova ( uk, Анастасія Смірнова; born April 20, 2004) is a Ukrainian-born pair skater who represents the United States. With her skating partner, Danylo Siianytsia, she is the 2022 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb champion. They are also the 2021 U.S. junior national champions and finished in the top ten at two World Junior Championships. Personal life Smirnova was born on April 20, 2004 in Dnipro, Ukraine in a Russian-speaking family. As of 2021, she is in her last year of an online Ukrainian high school. Smirnova came to the United States in mid-2018 on a P-1 visa and hopes to gain U.S. citizenship. Smirnova has a pet kitten named Bunny. Ukrainian Figure Skating Championships
The Ukrainian Figure Skating Championships are held annually to determine the national figure skating champions of Ukraine. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The senior event takes place most often in December and the junior event in January or February. In the 2013–14 season, the senior nationals were combined with an international competition, the Ukrainian Open. 2020–21 ISU Junior Grand Prix
The 2020–21 ISU Junior Grand Prix was scheduled to be the 24th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was intended to be the junior-level complement to the 2020–21 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Skaters would have competed for medals in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance, as well as for qualifying points. The top six from each discipline would have qualified for the 2020–21 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, 2020–21 Junior Grand Prix Final, to be held together with the senior final. 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held in Tallinn, Estonia on March 2–8, 2020. Figure skaters competed for the title of junior world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation during the 2020–21 ISU Junior Grand Prix series and at the 2021 World Junior Championships. Qualification Age and minimum TES requirements Skaters who reach the age of 13 before July 1, 2019, but have not turned 19 (singles and females of the other two disciplines) or 21 (male pair skaters and ice dancers) are eligible to compete at the junior level. Kate Finster
Kate Finster (born December 14, 2003) is an American pair skater. With her former skating partner, Balazs Nagy, she is the 2020 U.S. national junior champion, the 2019 U.S. national junior silver medalist, and the 2019 JGP Poland silver medalist. Personal life Kate Finster was born on December 14, 2003 in Louisville, Kentucky to Jay and Stacey Finster. She has four siblings named Cameron, Chase, Maddie, and Caroline, and her older brother Chase also competes nationally in figure skating. Kate and Chase live together while training in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Finster's family owns three cats and three dogs. Luka Berulava
Luka Berulava (russian: Лука Берулава; ka, ლუკა ბერულავა, born 27 November 2002) is a Georgian pair skater, who currently competes with Anastasia Metelkina. Together they are two-time ISU Junior Grand Prix gold medalists. Berulava first emerged on the international scene with partner Alina Butaeva, with whom he won two medals at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics − bronze in pairs and gold in the team event. He then formed a new partnership with Karina Safina. Alina Butaeva
Alina Butaeva ( ka, ალინა ბუთაევა, born 9 December 2005) is a Georgian pair skater. With her former partner, Luka Berulava, she won two medals at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics − bronze in pairs and gold in the team event. Personal life Butaeva was born on 9 December 2005 in Kazan, Russia. She resides in Perm. Career Early years Butaeva began learning how to skate as a three-year-old, in 2008. She originally competed as a single skater, coached by Ksenia Ivanova in Kazan. Butaeva teamed up with Luka Berulava prior to the 2019–20 season to compete in pair skating for Georgia.
