Anam (band)
Anam was a band from the Celtic Nations playing modern folk in Celtic musical traditions from Ireland, England, Cornwall, Scotland and Nova Scotia. Formed by Brian Ó hEadhra in Dublin in 1992, they made their concert debut at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient in Lorient, Brittany, where they were awarded the "best band" trophy. According to the website of founder Brian Ó hEadhra, Anam ceased operations in 2005. Australian National Academy Of Music
The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is a classical music performance training facility situated in Melbourne. History ANAM was established in 1994, as part of prime minister Paul Keating's "Creative Nation" initiative. On 23 October 2008, the Minister for the Arts, Peter Garrett, announced that ANAM would not receive any government funding in 2009. Former artistic director was appointed in 2016 and past artistic directors include composer Brett Dean and clarinettist Paul Dean. Current artistic director was appointed in 2021. Description, governance and funding ANAM is a national organisation with students from across Australia and New Zealand. Anam Community is a mega community of eight villages located in Anambra West Local Government Area, Anambra State, bounded by three Historic Rivers, River Anambra (Ọmambala), River Niger and River Ezichi.
