An Illustrated History
''An Illustrated History'' is the second North American album release by Japanese pop group Puffy AmiYumi, released on May 21, 2002. (See 2002 in music). The album contains a compilation of Puffy's hits in Japan from their debut ('Asia no Junshin', albeit in English lyrics) up to the time then (most likely the whole inclusion of the Atarashii Hibi single, without the karaoke song). At least 1 song from each of Puffy's earlier Japanese album releases before 2002 were included with the exception of '' solosolo''. There is also a bonus movie of 'Boogie-Woogie No.5' able to be seen on a QuickTime Player when placed into a computer. Puffy Amiyumi
is a Japanese pop rock duo formed in Tokyo in 1995, consisting of singers Ami Onuki and Yumi Yoshimura. In the United States, they adopted the name Puffy AmiYumi to avoid legal naming conflicts with Sean Combs, who also performed under the name Puffy. They sing in Japanese and English. Onuki and Yoshimura were scouted by Sony-affiliated talent agencies and put together in the mid-1990s. Most of their work was produced or co-written by Tamio Okuda and Andy Sturmer, formerly of the bands Unicorn and Jellyfish, respectively. "Ai no shirushi" is the 6th single released by Japanese pop duo Puffy AmiYumi. It was released on March 14, 1998. This song was written and composed by Masamune Kusano of band Spitz. Some of this song was played in the film Waterboys. They also sang a Chinese Mandarin version of it on their album The Very Best of Puffy/AmiYumi Jet Fever. (born 28 November 1969) is a New York-based Japanese composer, recording artist, music producer, and DJ, best known for the moniker of Captain Funk.
