An Educational Encyclopedia Of Islam
''An Educational Encyclopedia of Islam'' is a 2010 encyclopedia written by Islamic scholar Syed Iqbal Zaheer from Bangalore, India and published by Iqra Publishers. He is the editor of the '' Young Muslim Digest'' – a monthly Islamic magazine since 1976. He is also the author of several books like ''Islam: The Religion You Can No Longer Ignore'', ''Fake Pearls: A Collection of Fabricated Prophetic Sayings'' and '' Tafsir Ishraq Al-Ma'ani''. This two volume encyclopedia which consists of 1300 pages is covering all the aspects of Islam in dept with graphical illustrations. This encyclopedia has significant notes, four dozen full-scale and unique multi-color maps. Syed Iqbal Zaheer
Syed Iqbal Zaheer (born in 1944) is an Indian Islamic scholar and writer. By profession he is an engineer. He was trained in Islamic disciplines by traditional scholars. He has proficiency in three languages: English, Arabic and Urdu. Al-ʻAlaq or The Clot ( ar, العلق, ''al-ʻalaq'', also known as "The Clinging Thing" or "The Embryo"), is the 96th chapter ( sūrah) of the Qur'an. It is composed of 19 '' āyāt'' or verses. It is sometimes also known as Sūrat Iqrā (, "Read"). Chapter 96 is traditionally believed to have been Muhammad's first revelation. The history of Islam concerns the political, social, economic, military, and cultural developments of the Islamic civilization. Most historians believe that Islam originated in Mecca and Medina at the start of the 7th century CE.
