Central Macedonia
Central Macedonia ( el, Κεντρική Μακεδονία, Kentrikí Makedonía, ) is one of the thirteen administrative regions of Greece, consisting of the central part of the geographical and historical region of Macedonia. With a population of almost 1.8 million, it is the second most populous in Greece after Attica. Geography The region of Central Macedonia is situated in northern Greece, bordering with the regions of Western Macedonia (west), Thessaly (south), Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (east), and bounded to the north at the international borders of Greece with Republic of North Macedonia and Bulgaria. Serres ( el, Περιφερειακή ενότητα Σερρών) is one of the regional units of Greece, in the geographic region of Macedonia. It is part of the Region of Central Macedonia. Amphipolis
Amphipolis ( ell, Αμφίπολη, translit=Amfipoli; grc, Ἀμφίπολις, translit=Amphipolis) is a municipality in the Serres (regional unit), Serres regional unit, Macedonia (Greece), Macedonia, Greece. Rodolivos
Rodolivos ( el, Ροδoλίβος) is a town and a former municipality in the Serres regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Amfipoli, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 106.034 km2. It is about 30 km from Drama. Its population was 2,611 in 2001. The village is at the foot of Mount Pangaio. Just next to Rodolivos, namely on the hill of "St. Athanasius" and also in the neighboring place "Kouria", are attested traces of two ancient settlements of Edonida (Greek: Ηδωνίδα), which were located on the via Egnatia. The ''Government Gazette'' ( el, Εφημερίς της Κυβερνήσεως, translit=Efimeris tis Kyverniseos, translit-std=ISO, lit=Government Gazette) is the official journal of the Government of Greece which lists all laws passed in a set time period ratified by Cabinet and President. Proti, Serres
Proti ( el, Πρώτη) is a village and a former municipality in the Serres regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Amphipoli, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 79.241 km2. The population of the municipal unit was 2,044 at the 2011 census. Near Proti has been found an archaeological site that is probably identified with the Roman station of Egnatia Domeros.
