Ampere (company)
Ampere is the provisional name of a proposed electric vehicle and software company to be spun off from Groupe Renault as part of the third phase of its "Renaulution" recovery plan. In such plan, Ampere is set to develop and supply vehicles, initially for Renault. Announced on November 8, 2022, Ampere is part of Luca de Meo's "reinvention" plans, which see the company shift its focus to become what he calls "a next-generation car company". By developing Ampere as its own entity, Groupe Renault says it is creating "the first pure EV and software player born from an OEM disruption". Renault plans to list the company on the Euronext Paris, Paris stock exchange from the second half of 2023, retaining a majority stake. Luca De Meo
Luca de Meo (born 13 June 1967) is an Italian automotive executive who is currently the CEO of Renault. Early life and education Born in Milan in 1967 to parents originating from Locorotondo, de Meo received a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan. In his thesis he examined business ethics, which was the first dissertation on this subject in Italy. Career De Meo has more than twenty-five years of experience in the automotive sector. He began his career at Renault, prior to joining Toyota Europe, followed by the Fiat Group, where he was head of the Lancia, Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands and CEO of Abarth. The Renault Megane E-Tech Electric is a battery electric-powered small family car produced by the French car manufacturer Renault since 2022. Using the Megane nameplate, the vehicle is the first Renault model based on a dedicated electric vehicle platform called the CMF-EV. The Renault 5 EV is a forthcoming B-segment electric car, with styling based on the original Renault 5. A production model is planned to reach the market in 2025. A prototype concept was presented in January 2021. Renault Scénic Vision
The Renault Scenic E-Tech is a battery electric compact crossover SUV that is produced by French automaker Renault from 2024. It was previewed as a concept was shown in May 2022 called the Renault Scénic Vision, with the production model having an estimated release date of 2024. The car is the 2024 European Car of the Year. Overview Concept The Scénic Vision concept car was presented on 19 May 2022. Initially finished in black, the Scénic Vision body color was changed to white during the 2022 Paris Motor Show. The concept car is based on the CMF-EV platform. It has a coach door with no B-pillar, which allows easy access to the passenger compartment, and it is designed with 70% recycled materials.
