Amor En Custodia (Colombia)
Amor en Custodia is a Colombian telenovela by Teleset for RCN Television, starring Alejandra Borrero and Venezuelan Ernesto Calzadilla. It was adapted by Julio Castañeda from the written by . It premiered on November 9, 2009 on RCN TV. Synopsis It tells the story of love and passion of a mother and daughter, Peace and Barbara, by their bodyguards, Juan Manuel and Nicolas, respectively. Their relations are imbued with much drama as this love is not allowed, not only because of jealousy and envy, but because of past mistakes of their respective families. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Valentina Rendón
Valentina Rendón Escobar is a Colombian actress, singer and writer. Rendón studied industrial design at the Universidad Autónoma de Manizales but, after winning a scholarship offered by RCN TV, went to live to Bogotá to become an actress. She was the lead voice of the pop group Luna verde. Her television debut was in the 1996 series ''Copas amargas''. After several supporting roles on television, her first lead role was in the 1999 telenovela ''Tabú''. She would appear in several telenovelas, series and perform on theatre.
