Amon Murwira
Amon Murwira is Zimbabwe's Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development. He is a member of Zanu-PF and was appointed to cabinet in 2017, after Emmerson Mnangagwa became Zimbabwe's leader. Murwira is also a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe (), officially the Republic of Zimbabwe, is a landlocked country located in Southeast Africa, between the Zambezi and Limpopo Rivers, bordered by South Africa to the south, Botswana to the south-west, Zambia to the north, and Mozambique to the east. Emmerson Mnangagwa
Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa (, American English, US: (); born 15 September 1942) is a Zimbabwean politician who has served as President of Zimbabwe since 24 November 2017. A member of ZANU–PF and a longtime ally of former President Robert Mugabe, he held a series of cabinet portfolios and was Mugabe's Vice-President of Zimbabwe, Vice President until November 2017, when he was dismissed before coming to power in 2017 Zimbabwean coup d'état, a coup d'état. He secured his first full term as president in the disputed 2018 Zimbabwean general election, 2018 general election. Mnangagwa was born in 1942 in Zvishavane, Shabani, Southern Rhodesia, to a large Shona people, Shona family. The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is a public university in Harare, Zimbabwe. It opened in 1952 as the University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, and was initially affiliated with the University of London.
