''Amnesia'' (stylized as ''Amne$ia'') is an American television game show that aired on Fridays at 8:00 PM ET on NBC, after debuting on February 22, 2008 at 9:00 PM ET after ''1 vs. 100''. Contestants win money by answering questions about their own lives. The program was produced by Mark Burnett, producer of other shows like '' Survivor'', ''The Apprentice'', and '' Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?'', and was hosted by comedian Dennis Miller. Contestants were able to win up to $250,000. Gameplay The game was played in five rounds: Round 1: You In 60 Seconds Instead of standard welcome intros, Amnesia began with a speed round. The contestant had 60 seconds to answer seven questions, winning $1,000 for each correct answer, for a maximum of $7,000. There was no penalty for wrong answers, and the money won in this round was the contestant's to keep. Dennis Michael Miller (born November 3, 1953) is an American talk show host, political commentator, sports commentator, actor, and comedian. He was a cast member of ''Saturday Night Live'' from 1985 to 1991, and he subsequently hosted a string of his own talk shows on HBO, CNBC, and also in syndication. ''Opportunity Knocks'' is a 2008 game show hosted by J. D. Roth and executive produced by Ashton Kutcher and his Katalyst Productions. It premiered on September 23, 2008 on ABC and City in Canada, but received low ratings, especially in the 18–34-year-old age demographic, and was canceled after three episodes. Gameplay At the beginning of the episode, a family is surprised by the ABC crew knocking on their door and telling them they have been selected to be on the show. They then have to answer questions about the other members of their family. Each of the four family member contestants gets asked a series of four questions, worth, in order, $2,500, $5,000, $7,500, and $10,000. The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (; SBT ; "Brazilian Television System") is a Brazilian television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos.
