Ammajan (song)
Ammajan is a Bengali film music released in 1999. This mother devotional song was used in the 1999 film ''Ammajan'' directed by Kazi Hayat. Ayub Bachchu has given voice to this song with lyrics and music by Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul. Manna has acted and lip-synced in portraying this song in a scene of the film. Through this song, Ayub Bachchu became popular in Bengali films. Background Concept The song is part of a film named ''Ammajan'' is directed by Kazi Hayat who never sat down with the composer about the music. He gave complete freedom to the composer in this regard. He believes that giving freedom to composers will bring good things. The director asked Bulbul to write and compose a song about mothers for the film that no other mother-related song could compare to. Ayub Bachchu
Ayub Bachchu (; 16 August 1962 – 18 October 2018) was a Bangladeshi rock guitarist, composer, singer and songwriter, who was the founder of the Bangladeshi rock band LRB and earned success as the lead singer and the lead guitarist of the band. He is considered as one of the greatest singers of all time in Bangladesh. He was one of the pioneers of Bangladeshi pop music. Born in Patiya, Bachchu came to Chittagong with his family in the early 1970s. His first band name was "Spider" (Which is the first band of Chittagong city). He joined a band named "Spider" in 1974. He played with "Spider" band as a main lead guitarist from year 1974 to 1977. ''Ammajan'' () is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language crime-drama film directed by Kazi Hayat and written by Monwar Hossain Dipjol. The film was released in 1999 in Bangladesh. It was produced by Monwar Hossain Dipjol. It stars Manna, Shabnam, Moushumi, Amin Khan, Monwar Hossain Dipjol in lead roles. Plot Badshah (Manna) is a teenager whose father is Laal Mia, an electrician. His father suddenly dies in an electric accident. The family faces tremendous scarcity in the absence of only earning member. His mother, whom he calls Ammajaan (Shabnam), seeks pension money for her husband's death in his office. Then she is sent to the house of a top class officer of that office assuring that that officer may donate her some money. In the house, the officer eventually rapes her.
