Amir Abedi
Sheikh K. A. Amir Abedi (1924–1964) was the first African mayor of Dar es Salaam. He served as a Minister of Justice and as Minister of Education and Culture, as well as led the Tanganyikan delegation to the Eighteenth Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Death Abedi was also a skilled and prominent poet of the Swahili language and also a strong promoter of the Swahili language. He died of food poisoning in 1964 at the age of 40. The flag of Tanzania ( sw, bendera ya Tanzania) consists of a yellow-edged black diagonal band, divided diagonally from the lower hoist-side corner, with a green upper triangle and light blue lower triangle. Swahili Language
Swahili, also known by its local name , is the native language of the Swahili people, who are found primarily in Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique (along the East African coast and adjacent litoral islands). It is a Bantu language, though Swahili has borrowed a number of words from foreign languages, particularly Arabic, but also words from Portuguese, English and German.
