Aminur Rahman
Aminur Rahman (born 30 October 1966) is a modern Bangladeshi poet who writes in Bengali. He is considered to be a Rabindranath Tagore follower. He is also engaged in literary translation (published 10 collections of poetry in translations) and literary criticism. Career Rahman graduated from the pharmacological faculty of the University of Dhaka. Published 6 collections of poems and three collections of prose in Bangla. The poet's poems have been translated into 25 languages, including English, Arabic, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Malay, Mongolian, German, Nepali, Russian, Urdu, French, Hindi. Rahman is involved in literary translation (published 10 collections of poetry in translations), and literary criticism. The Bangla Academy Literary Award ( bn, বাংলা একাডেমি সাহিত্য পুরস্কার; ''Bangla Academy Shahitya Puroshkar''), is given by the Bangla Academy of Bangladesh in recognition of creative genius in advancement and overall contribution in the field of Bengali language and literature. East Pakistan
East Pakistan was a Pakistani province established in 1955 by the One Unit Scheme, One Unit Policy, renaming the province as such from East Bengal, which, in modern times, is split between India and Bangladesh. Its land borders were with India and Myanmar, with a coastline on the Bay of Bengal. East Pakistanis were popularly known as "Pakistani Bengalis"; to distinguish this region from India's state West Bengal (which is also known as "Indian Bengal"), East Pakistan was known as "Pakistani Bengal". Peter Horn (poet)
Peter Rudolf Gisela Horn (7 December 1934 – 23 July 2019) was a Czech-born South African poet. He made his mark especially with his anti-Apartheid poetry. At the end of World War II he had to flee from his home and settled with his parents first in Bavaria and later in Freiburg im Breisgau, where he completed high school in 1954. He then emigrated with his parents to South Africa. Biography Horn was born in Teplice, German-occupied Czechoslovakia (currently in Czech Republic).
