Amin Tarokh
Amin Tarokh ( fa, امین تارخ; 11 August 1953 – 24 September 2022) was an Iranian actor. He has received various accolades, including a Crystal Simorgh, a Hafez Award. He also used to teach acting and was the teacher of famous actors like Taraneh Alidoosti, Gelareh Abbasi, Shabnam Moghaddami, Navid Pourfaraj, Pouria Rahimisam, Majid Vasheghani, Hedieh Bazvand and more. Early life Tarokh was born in Shiraz. After finishing high school in Shiraz, he started his education at Tehran University. He graduated from University of Tehran with a degree in cultural management. Tarokh had three sons named Nima, Mani and Nami. Fajr Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بین‌المللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The awards are the Iranian equivalent to the American Academy Awards. The festival has been promoted locally and internationally through television, radio and webinars; speakers have come from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Ali Hatami
Ali Hatami ( fa, علی حاتمی , August 14, 1944 – December 7, 1996) was an Iranian film director, screenwriter, art director, and costume designer. The ''Tehran Times'' dubbed him "the Hafez of Iranian cinema due to the poetic ambiance of his movies." Career Hatami graduated from the College of Dramatic Arts in Iran and subsequently began his professional career as a writer. He made his feature film directorial debut with ''Hasan Kachal'' (''Hasan the Bald'') in 1970, which was the first Iranian musical film. He wrote and directed several films that focused on Iranian culture, including ''Hajji Washington'' (1982), ''Kamalolmolk'' (1984), and '' Love Stricken'' (1992). IRIB TV2 ( fa, شبكه دو, ''Shabakeh-ye Do'', lit. Channel 2) is one of the 40 national television channels in Iran. It broadcasts to the Persian-speaking areas of the Middle East and is headquartered in Tehran. IRIB TV1 ( fa, شبکه یک, ''Shabakeh-e Yek'', lit. Channel 1) is one of the 40 national television channels in Iran. IRIB TV1 was the first national television channel in Iran, and is now the oldest Iranian television channel having been established in 1958. The channel is referred to by some as the ''National Channel'', as most of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting's television budget is set aside for this channel. The channel has a wide range of programming such as drama series, television premieres of major Iranian movies, and talk shows. Children's shows also air in reruns, but most of them air first-run on IRIB TV2's youth programming block. The channel also has the most watched Iranian news broadcast and televises the Friday prayers. The channel televised major sporting events until IRIB TV3 attained the rights for those broadcasts, as well as numerous viewers. Maziar Miri (born 1974 in Tehran) is an Iranian filmmaker. Maziar Miri graduated in editing, and started his career with making documentaries about Iran. He made his first short film in 1996, and worked for several years in the editing department of Iranian TV, channel 2. He made his debut feature film in 2000 titled The Unfinished Piece that won him several international awards but the movie was never allowed to release in Iran because of its topic about women being banned from singing in Iran. He directed a documentary series titled Red Migration that lasted from 2002 to 2004. Seyyed Shahabedin Hosseini Tonekaboni ( fa, سید شهاب الدین حسینی تنکابنی; born February 3, 1974) is an Iranian actor, producer and director. He is known for his collaborations with Iranian Academy Award-winning director Asghar Farhadi in ''About Elly'' (2009), ''A Separation'' (2011), and '' The Salesman'' (2016).
