Bahram Tavakoli (born 1976) is an Iranian film director and screenwriter. He won a Crystal Simorgh award for his debut film ''Barefoot in Heaven'' (2007). Since then, he has released several films that have met with critical acclaim. Hamedan
Hamadan () or Hamedan ( fa, همدان, ''Hamedān'') (Old Persian: Haŋgmetana, Ecbatana) is the capital city of Hamadan Province of Iran. At the 2019 census, its population was 783,300 in 230,775 families. The majority of people living in Hamadan identify as ethnic Persians. Hamedan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities. It is possible that it was occupied by the Assyrians in 1100 BCE; the Ancient Greek historian, Herodotus, states that it was the capital of the Medes, around 700 BCE. Blue Whale ( fa, نهنگ آبی, Nahange Abi) is a 2019 drama mystery series directed by Fereydoun Jeyrani, written by Bahram Tavakoli and produced by Saeid Malekan. ''Noon Khe'' ( fa, نون خ) is an Iranian comedy TV series portraying the life of a Kurdish family. It ran for 3 seasons and ninety-eight episodes over the course of 3 years (2018–2020) premiering during each Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, with the exception of second season that began in the Ramazan of 2020. IRIB TV1 ( fa, شبکه یک, ''Shabakeh-e Yek'', lit. Channel 1) is one of the 40 national television channels in Iran. IRIB TV1 was the first national television channel in Iran, and is now the oldest Iranian television channel having been established in 1958. The channel is referred to by some as the ''National Channel'', as most of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting's television budget is set aside for this channel. The channel has a wide range of programming such as drama series, television premieres of major Iranian movies, and talk shows. Children's shows also air in reruns, but most of them air first-run on IRIB TV2's youth programming block. The channel also has the most watched Iranian news broadcast and televises the Friday prayers.
