Amherst Regional High School (ARHS) is located in Amherst, Nova Scotia Amherst ( ) is a town in northwestern Nova Scotia, Canada, located at the northeast end of the Cumberland Basin, an arm of the Bay of Fundy, and south of the Northumberland Strait. The school delivers classes from grade 9 to 12 as well as the Career Exploration Program (CEP) an hosts the largest allocation of NSISP (Nova Scotia International Student Program) students in Nova Scotia. The first ARHS location opened in 1893 on Spring Street. It closed in 2000 when the "new" Amherst Regional High School opened on Willow Street. Amherst High School is a public high school located in Amherst, Wisconsin. It serves grades 9 through 12 & is the only high school in the Tomorrow River School District. History The first dedicated high school building in Amherst was constructed in the spring of 1891; classes started that fall. The school switched from a three-year to four-year track in 1902. Demographics The student body of AHS is 95% white, 3% Hispanic, 1% Native American, and 1% of students identify as a part of two or more races. As the only high school in the county, it offers a comprehensive program from advanced (AP) classes to classes offered through a reciprocity program with local colleges that allow students to earn both high school and college credit at the same time. Amherst Regional High School (ARHS) is a secondary school in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States, for students in grades 9–12. It is part of the Amherst-Pelham Regional School District, which comprises the towns of Amherst, Pelham, Leverett, and Shutesbury, Massachusetts. Its official colors are maroon and white. ARHS's current principal, beginning in the 2020-21 academic year, is Talib Sadiq. Academics Amherst Regional High School ran on a trimester system until switching to a semester system in 2016. The students used to take five courses per trimester: normally, three to four were academics, and one to two were electives. Most academic classes ran for two trimesters. They ran either straight through or were broken up by the winter trimester.
