Children Of Men
''Children of Men'' is a 2006 dystopian action thriller film co-written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The screenplay, based on P. D. James' 1992 novel '' The Children of Men'', was credited to five writers, with Clive Owen making uncredited contributions. The film takes place in 2027, when two decades of human infertility have left society on the brink of collapse. Asylum seekers seek sanctuary in the United Kingdom, where they are subjected to detention and refoulement by the government. Nathan Hope is an American cinematographer and director of film and television. As a cinematographer, his film credits include '' Hellraiser: Inferno'' (2000), ''Mimic 2'' (2001), '' Suckers'' (2001), ''Rolling Kansas'' (2003, Thomas Haden Church's directorial debut), ''Who's Your Daddy?'' Thomas Del Ruth (born May 1, 1942) is a retired American cinematographer. Biography Del Ruth was born in 1942 in Beverly Hills, California, as the son of film director Roy Del Ruth, and actress Winnie Lightner. He was educated at Van Nuys High School and the University of Southern California and began working as a commercial print model and actor after serving as a paratrooper in the US Army (1965). Del Ruth switched from being in front of the camera to being behind it in 1966 and was promoted to director of photography in 1979 by Universal Studios.
