American Men Vol. 1
''American Men Vol. 1'' is the first compilation album by People Under the Stairs. It is a combination of outtakes from the group's first two albums ('' The Next Step'' & ''Question in the Form of an Answer''), songs produced for other local Los Angeles recording artists (including future Living Legends artists, Murs & Scarub), and one live track from the 2000 Glastonbury festival. Release The album was self-produced and assembled by Thes One and Double K, and it was handed out at a small number of live shows during their 2000-2001 world tour in support of ''Question in the Form of an Answer''. Transportation among the various shows along the tour was not included in their tour deal, so People Under The Stairs were responsible for getting to each show, which meant carrying all their own equipment as well. Eventually, hauling the extra weight in merchandise (including the ''American Men Vol. 1'' CDs) became too difficult, so midway through the tour, Thes One and Double K were for ...

Question In The Form Of An Answer
''Question In The Form Of An Answer'' is the second studio album by the People Under the Stairs. Recorded following their first world tour, the album was their first release on Om Records (the label would later re-release the duo's first album the following year). The release spawned three singles, each selling their entire first pressing run of 15,000 copies, and a second world tour. Background In 1999, People Under The Stairs signed a four-album deal with Om Records, and the title of their second album, ''Question in the Form of an Answer'', came to them while driving up to San Francisco to meet with the Om staff. Outtake
An outtake is a portion of a work (usually a film or music recording) that is removed in the editing process and not included in the work's final, publicly released version. In the digital era, significant outtakes have been appended to CD and DVD reissues of many albums and films as bonus tracks or features, in film often, but not always, for the sake of humor. In terms of photos, an outtake may also mean the ones which are not released in the original set of photos (i.e. photo shoots and digitals). Film An outtake is any take of a movie or a television program that is removed or otherwise not used in the final cut. Some of these takes are humorous mistakes made in the process of filming commonly known to American audiences as bloopers. Multiple takes of each shot are always taken, for safety. Due to this, the number of outtakes a film has will always vastly outnumber the takes included in the edited, finished product. An outtake may also be a complete version of a recording th ...

The Next Step (People Under The Stairs Album)
''The Next Step'' is the debut studio album by People Under the Stairs, released on March 24, 1998. The duo were responsible for nearly every aspect of the album's production and initial release. Quick sales of the album and its sole single, "The Next Step II", also helped to get the group noticed by the label Om Records, with whom the group produced four other albums and found greater success. Background After spending several months recording material and performing their first few shows in 1998, Thes One and Double K used Thes One's student loan funds to independently press and release their first 12-inch single, "The Next Step II". Just weeks after the single was released, the shopkeeper of the now-defunct Mr. Bongo record shop purchased a large number of copies of it for his shop. When he played it on an ordinary day in the store, customers rushed the counter and it sold out within minutes. Impressed by the quick sale, Mr. Bongo's shopkeeper called Chris Smith, owner of Om Re ...
