American 200
The American 200 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service was an ARCA Racing Series race that took place at Rockingham Speedway in 1973 and from 2008 until 2010. Charlie Glotzbach won the inaugural event, while Ty Dillon won the final event. History During the inaugural race, Charlie Glotzbach led 285 laps out of 295 to win ahead of Charlie Blanton, who was two laps down. Before the race, only 13 cars were able to qualify before rain moved into the area, causing the remainder of the grid lined up according to sign-in time at the track. In 2008, Joey Logano won after taking the pole position and leading 257 laps out of 312. In 2009 Sean Caisse won the spring event, and Parker Kligerman won in the fall. ARCA Racing Series
The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. The series has had a longstanding relationship with NASCAR, including using former NASCAR Cup Series cars, hosting events in the same race weekend such as Daytona Speedweeks, and naming an award after NASCAR founder Bill France, Sr. However, the series was not officially affiliated with NASCAR until its buyout on April 27, 2018. The series was known as the ARCA Permatex SuperCar Series from 1986 until 1991, the ARCA Hooters SuperCar Series from 1993 until 1995, and as the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series from 1996 to 2000. 2010 ARCA Racing Series Season
The 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by Re/MAX and Menards was the 58th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 6 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 9 with the American 200 presented by Black's Tire and Auto Service. Patrick Sheltra of Sheltra Motorsports won the season championship. This season was notable for the season-opening race, the 2010 Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona, which had the largest audience of any ARCA event in the history of the series with 2.4 million viewers tuning in on the Speed Channel. The high viewership was due to the fact that Danica Patrick was competing in the event, which was her first stock car start as part of her move from the IndyCar Series to NASCAR. Dodge
Dodge is an American brand of automobiles and a division of Stellantis, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. 2009 ARCA Re/Max Series Season
The 2009 ARCA Re/MAX Series was the 57th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 7 with the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and ended on October 11 with the Rockingham ARCA 200. Justin Lofton of Eddie Sharp Racing won the season championship. This season's championship result was the closest in ARCA history, as Lofton won the title over Kligerman by a mere five points. Although Kligerman won an astounding nine races that season, Lofton (who won six races) was able to barely beat him, mainly on the strength of earning bonus points for winning poles. 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series Season
The 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series was the 56th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 9, 2008 at Daytona International Speedway with the Daytona ARCA 200 and ended on October 12, 2008 at Toledo Speedway with the Hantz Group 200. Justin Allgaier, driving for his family team, Allgaier Motorsports, won the season championship. Frank Kimmel, who won the series championship in nine of the previous ten seasons, barely lost the title this season to Allgaier. Kimmel had moved from the No. 46 Clement Racing car, which he won all of his titles in, to the No. 44 car for his family team this season. Kimmel's replacement in the No. 46, Matt Carter, would finish third in the championship. Parker L. Kligerman (born August 8, 1990) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro for Big Machine Racing. Kligerman is a former development driver for Team Penske (NASCAR), Team Penske. He has worked for NBC since 2015 after he lost his last full-time ride in NASCAR with the closed Swan Racing team. Rockingham Speedway
Rockingham Speedway, formerly North Carolina Motor Speedway and later North Carolina Speedway is a racetrack located near Rockingham, North Carolina. It is also known as The Rock and previously hosted NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, CARS Tour, and UARA-Stars races. The track opened as a flat, one-mile oval on October 31, 1965. In 1969, the track was extensively reconfigured to a high-banked, D-shaped oval just over one mile in length. Sean Caisse
Sean James Caisse (born January 30, 1986) is an American former stock car racing driver. Career Caisse rose through the ranks of karting to full-size stock cars at Lee USA Speedway in Lee, New Hampshire. He progressed from Hobby Stocks to Late Models and beyond while still a teenager. In 2002 Caisse finished second in the Hobby Stock category at the local speedway. For 2003 Caisse joined the Northeastern Midget Association. Caisse's best results were two second-place finishes at Oswego Speedway and Star Speedway. The driver from New Hampshire finished seventh in the season standings. In a motorsports race, the pole position is usually the best and "statistically the most advantageous" starting position on the track.
