Spiderleg Records
Spiderleg Records was an independent record label founded by UK anarcho-punk band Flux of Pink Indians in 1981. The band set up the label after releasing their first EP on the Crass Records label, which taught them the skills necessary to run such a project and provided them with the seed cash. In turn, the band not only used the label to release their own material, but gave opportunities to like-minded punk bands to put out records, including The Subhumans, who in a similar fashion set up the Bluurg label. Others that released records on Spiderleg included The System, Amebix and Antisect. The first record to be put out was a re-recording of older material made when the band were known as The Epileptics (they changed the name to EPI-X following complaints from the British Epilepsy Association and eventually emerged as Flux of Pink Indians having reverted to The Epileptics and then The Licks). This was an EP entitled ''1970s Have Been Made in Hong Kong'', which had originally ...

Tau Cross (band)
Tau Cross is a rock band founded by Rob Miller of England's Amebix. Controversy Tau Cross' third album, ''Messengers of Deception'', was originally scheduled for release on August 9, 2019, via Relapse Records. In July 2019, however, Relapse chose to sever its relationship with the band and cancel the album's release due to Miller's inclusion of Gerard Menuhin, a Holocaust denier, in his thanks list, submitted to the label in the late stages of production. Shortly thereafter the other four members of the band issued a joint statement expressing their lack of previous knowledge about, and desire not to be associated with, Menuhin's work and Miller's interest in it. Within a week Miller had "released" guitarist Andy Lefton and drummer Michel Langevin and made an ambivalent public statement about the status of the remaining members, expressing his resolve to continue the band alone if necessary. Miller eventually self-released the album in December 2020, after resurfacing with a new ...

Bullshit Detector
''Bullshit Detector'' was the name of a series of compilation LPs put together by the anarcho-punk band Crass and released on their Crass Records label. Three editions were released between 1980 and 1984, consisting of demo tapes, rough recordings and artwork that had been sent to the band. The sound quality of the ''Bullshit Detector'' series was mixed, and was often very basic or poor as Crass would master the tapes directly to record without any additional production or enhancement. For Crass, the expectation of a polished performance was missing the point of the DIY punk ethic: :''"Don't expect music when the melody is anger, when the message sings defiance, three chords are frustration when the words are from the heart"'' – Sleeve notes from ''Bullshit Detector Volume 3'' The title ''Bullshit Detector'' was derived as a reference to the The Clash, Clash song Garageland (song), "Garageland" from their first LP ''The Clash (album), The Clash'', a song cover version, covere ...
