Amber D (born 1982) is a British hard dance DJ from Staffordshire. As Amber D’Amour she plays electro, fidget, and tech house. She has been a DJ since late 2001. Her first residency was at the legendary Golden, in Hanley Stoke-on-Trent, where she used to warm up for DJs such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, K-Klass, Mauro Picotto, and she then DJ'd on BPM Radio and at BPM parties. In 2002, she won a DJ Competition at Fluffy, and started a residency at the club. She has released records with dance labels such as Tidy Trax, Kiddfectious, and Riot!, and has DJ'd internationally, including in Ibiza. She did an Essential Mix live on BBC Radio 1 in 2005. She was “ Mixmag Future Hero” in 2004, and one of her tracks was in the top 4 at the Hard Dance Awards 2008. Hardcore (also known as hardcore techno or hardcore house) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany in the early 1990s. It is distinguished by faster tempos and a distorted sawtooth kick (160 to 200 BPM or more), the intensity of the kicks and the synthesized bass (in some subgenres), the rhythm and the atmosphere of the themes (sometimes violent), the usage of saturation and experimentation close to that of industrial dance music. ''Mixmag'' is a British electronic dance and clubbing magazine published in London. Launched in 1983 as a print magazine, it has branched into dance events, including festivals and club nights. Lee Haslam (born 1975 or 1976) is a British electronic dance music disc jockey and hard house music producer. He has achieved chart success in the UK, performed a BBC Essential Mix, and is also general manager of the Tidy record label. Career Haslam was inspired by Tony De Vit and began his interest in DJing in the 1990s, with his first gig in 1996 in Doncaster. He applied for a job at record label Tidy Trax, and passed the interview by showcasing his DJ skills. Initially doing commercial mixes he moved into club promotions and by the year 2000 had been promoted to label manager. From 2007, until the closure in 2013, he was the director of the Slinky nightclub in Bournemouth. From 2013 Haslam worked for the Gatecrasher brand organising events in Great Britain and worldwide. UK Hard House
UK hard house or simply hard house is a style of electronic dance music that emerged in the early 1990s and is synonymous with its association to the Trade club and the associated DJs there that created the style. It often features a speedy tempo (around 150 BPM but hard house ranges from around 135 BPM to around 165 BPM), offbeat bass stabs, hoovers and horns. It usually contains a break in the middle of the track where no drums are present. UK hard house often uses a long and sharp string note to create suspense. Most of the time, the drops are introduced by a drum roll.
