was a Japanese idol duo in the late 1980s and early-to-mid-1990s composed of and . They released their first single on April 27, 1988, and their final release was on March 31, 1996. Many of their singles topped the Oricon charts in Japan, including their biggest hit, "Samishii Nettaigyo". History In 1987, Sachiko Suzuki and Shoko Aida both entered a beauty contest given by the magazine ''Up to bBoy''. Suzuki won 7th place and formed Wink with 9th place winner Aida the next year, and in April they debuted with the single "Sugar Baby Love", a cover of an English song by The Rubettes. From that point on, many of Wink's early songs were covers of Western songs, but with Japanese lyrics; while many of their later songs were original works written by Japanese composers. , better known by his stage name , is a Japanese lyricist, composer and poet who is affiliated with Amuse, Inc. He has written over 2,000 songs for numerous artists such as Kyosuke Himuro, Takuro Yoshida and Junichi Inagaki and theme songs for anime series including '' Dragon Ball Z''. His younger brother is Hideharu Mori, keyboardist of the rock band Picasso. Career Mori attended the English Department of Sophia University before dropping out and making his professional songwriting debut in 1975. His first album, , was released in 1977. He contributed a handful of lyrics to the 1989 album ''Appare'' by the Sadistic Mika Band, who temporarily reunited that year. "Sugar Baby Love", recorded in autumn 1973 and released in January 1974, is a bubblegum pop song, and the debut single of The Rubettes. Written by Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington and produced by Bickerton, engineered by John Mackswith at Lansdowne Recording Studios, and with lead vocals by Paul Da Vinci, "Sugar Baby Love" was the band's one and only number one single in the UK Singles Chart, spending four weeks at the top of the chart in May 1974. Recording details Bickerton and Waddington had been writing songs together since they were both members of the Pete Best Four in Liverpool in the early 1960s. "Turn It into Love" is a single released by Australian singer Kylie Minogue. It was taken from her debut studio album '' Kylie'' (1988). The single was released in December 1988 in Japan only. The B-side was a new song "Made in Heaven", which also served as the B-side to both " Je ne sais pas pourquoi" and " It's No Secret" in other international territories. The song, written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman (SAW), was also released by British singer Hazell Dean the same year, sparking years of speculation about which performer recorded it first. Shigeru Suzuki
is a Japanese musician, songwriter and guitarist. He first became known as a member of the influential rock band Happy End in the early 1970s, before starting a solo career and becoming a prolific session musician. As of 2006, Suzuki had contributed to 588 recordings. In 2019, Suzuki's high school band Skye reunited and released their first album. Biography Before being invited to join Happy End in 1969, Suzuki was in a band called with his high school classmates Tatsuo Hayashi and Ray Ohara (Sadistic Mika Band).
