''Amar Kahani'' (Immortal Story) is a 1949 Hindi romantic drama film directed by Baij Sharma. It was produced under the Kamal Kunj Chitra banner. The music was composed by Husnlal Bhagatram, with lyrics by Rajendra Krishan. The film starred P. Jairaj, Suraiya, Ranjana and Jagdish Mehta. ''Amar Kahani'' was one of the many films Jairaj and Suraiya starred in together. Husnlal Bhagatram
Husn Lal and Bhagat Ram were the first legendary music directors duo in Bollywood. They are two brothers, Husn Lal (8 April 1920 – 28 December 1968) and Bhagat Ram (1914 – 29 November 1973). Husn Lal was also a renowned violinist, vocalist (indian classical music) and music composer, but his prowess as singer is not commonly known. Bhagat Ram was considered an expert harmonium player. Bhagat Ram composed music for a few films in 1930s alone under the name "Bhagat Ram Batish". Rajinder Krishan Duggal (6 June 1919 – 23 September 1987) also credited as Rajendra Krishan, was an Indian poet, lyricist and screenwriter. Biography Rajinder Krishan was born in a Duggal family at Jalalpur Jattan on 6 June 1919, in Gujrat District (in present-day Pakistan). Even when he was studying in the eighth class he was attracted towards poetry. In his early work life he had a clerk's job in the municipal office in Simla, where he toiled up to 1942. During that period, he read eastern and western authors extensively and wrote poetry. He expresses his indebtedness to the Urdu poetry of Firaq Gorakhpuri and Ahsan Danish, as well as to the Hindi poems of Pant and Nirala.
