Amalapuram
Amalapuram is a town in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the district headquarters and the largest town of Konaseema district. It is the mandal and divisional headquarters of Amalapuram mandal and Amalapuram revenue division respectively. The town is situated in the delta of konaseema. History Amalapuram was originally named Amlipuri. Some of its temples are dedicated to Amaleswarudu. Amalapuram is also called Panchalingapuram as it is the seat of five temples to Shiva as Amaleswarudu, Sidheswarudu, Ramalingeswarudu, Chandramouleeswarudu and Chennamalleeswarudu. Amalapuram is the most developed town in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. It is hub of the district for education and financial institutes. Konaseema District
Konaseema district, officially known as Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Konaseema district, is a district in Coastal Andhra between the tributaries of the Godavari river in the Konaseema region in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It was carved out of East Godavari district on 4 April 2022 by the Andhra Pradesh government. Amalapuram is the district headquarters and the largest city in the disctrict, which is named after B. R. Ambedkar. Geography Konaseema is located in the delta of the Godavari river. It is largely agricultural in nature, with lush green paddy fields. There are some Mangrove forests in the northeast of the district. It lies in between the two branches of Godavari river. Kala Venkata Rao
Kala Venkata Rao was an Indian independence activist and politician. He served as the Minister for Revenue in the governments of the Madras Presidency and Andhra Pradesh. He also served as the Minister of Finance in the latter. A member of the Indian National Congress, Rao served as vice-president and general secretary of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) between 1939 and 1946. He also served as general secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) between 1949 and 1951. Recognizing his role in the independence movement, Neelam Sanjiva Reddy called him the " Dronacharya" of the Andhra movement struggle. He was also referred as Andhra Patel. Devi Sri Prasad (; born 2 August 1979) is an Indian film composer, lyricist, singer-songwriter and performer. Popularly known by his initials DSP, he is best known for his work in Telugu-language films, and has also worked in a few Tamil films. Bayya Suryanarayana Murthy, a.k.a. B. S. Murthy (29 October 1906 – 22 May 1979) was a journalist, poet, short story writer, essayist, and a six-term Parliamentarian He was born in 1906 to B. Nagaiah at Nagaram in Razole taluk, in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He was awarded B.A, and BEd degrees from Government Arts College at Rajahmundry, Christian college and Law college in Madras. Varanasi Ram Madhav (born 22 August 1964) is an Indian politician who served as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Konaseema
Konaseema is a group of islands between the tributaries of the Godavari River and Bay of Bengal located in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district of Andhra Pradesh in southern India. It is nicknamed "Gods Own Creation" due to similarities with the Kerala backwaters. Geography The Godavari delta is surrounded by the tributaries of Vruddha Godavari, Vasishta Godavari, Gautami and Nilarevu rivers. After crossing the city of Rajahmundry, the Godavari River bifurcates into two distributaries, the Vruddha Gautami (Gautami Godavari) and the Vasishta Godavari, which then further splits into the Gautami and the Nilarevu.
