Amada Enemiga
''Amada enemiga'' (English: ''Beloved Enemy'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Carlos Sotomayor for Televisa in 1997. This telenovela based on radionovela ''Cuando la rival es una hija'' by Inés Rodena. On Monday, August 18, 1997, Canal de las Estrellas started broadcasting ''Amada enemiga'' weekdays at 7:00pm, replacing ''Gente bien''. The last episode was broadcast on Friday, December 5, 1997 with ''Mi pequeña traviesa'' replacing it the following day. Dominika Paleta, Susana Dosamantes and Enrique Ibáñez starred as protagonists, while the leading actor Guillermo Murray starred as main antagonist. Synopsis Regina (Susana Dosamantes) is married to a much older man (Guillermo Murray). She leads a sedate life but longs for some passion. Telenovela
A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. The significant difference is their series run length; telenovelas tell one self-contained story, typically within the span of a year or less whereas soap operas tend to have intertwined storylines told during indefinite, continuing runs. This makes them shorter than most other television series, but still much longer than a miniseries. Carlos Sotomayor
Carlos Sotomayor Román (1911–1988) was a Chilean painter, born in La Serena, Chile. He is considered to be one of the principal exponents of the cubism from South America. Early years His father, Carlos Sotomayor Cáceres was a Civil Engineer who worked for the Chilean Railway Company (Empresa de los Ferrocarriles del Estado), married to Julia Román Morales. They had 5 children: Carlos, Julio (poet), Lucía, Inés (agronomist) and Elena. In his teenage years, Carlos Sotomayor met the painter and sculptor Laura Rodig, who had just come back from Europe, and worked with her, putting up an exhibition together with Pedro Olmos.
