Alvin And The Chipmunks (1983 TV Series)
''Alvin and the Chipmunks'' is an American animated television series featuring the Chipmunks, which was produced by Bagdasarian Productions in association with Ruby-Spears Enterprises from 1983 to 1987, Murakami-Wolf-Swenson in 1988 and DIC Enterprises from 1988 to 1990. Much of the overseas animation was done by Hanho Heung-Up for Seasons 2-5. The Murakami-Wolf-Swenson episodes were animated by A-1 Productions. The last Season was animated by Sei Young Animation. The show aired from September 17, 1983 to November 17, 1990 on NBC and is the follow-up to the original 1961–62 series, ''The Alvin Show''. The show introduced the Chipettes, three female Chipmunks with their female caretaker, Miss Beatrice Miller (who joined the cast in 1986). Charles August Nichols
Charles August "Nick" Nichols (September 15, 1910 – August 23, 1992) was an American animator and film director, who worked in animation for over 50 years at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Hanna-Barbera. At Disney, he worked on various short subjects and films from the 1940s into the 1950s, including the Academy Award-winning short ''Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom'' (1953). Nichols co-directed ''Charlotte's Web (1973 film), Charlotte's Web'' (1973) while at Hanna-Barbera. Biography Nichols was born in Milford, Utah. The Chipettes
The Chipettes are a group of three female anthropomorphic chipmunk singers: Brittany, Jeanette and Eleanor who first appeared on the cartoon series '' Alvin and the Chipmunks'' in 1983. In this and related materials, the Chipettes served as female featured characters in their own right, starring in numerous episodes. The title of the show was changed from ''Alvin and the Chipmunks'' to simply ''The Chipmunks'' in 1988 to reflect this. ''Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks'' is a computer-animated television series for kids produced by Bagdasarian Productions and Technicolor Animation Productions with the participation of the French channel M6.
