Alun Jones (born 26 April 1980) is a retired Australian professional tennis player. Jones started playing tennis at age 7. His parents are David, a civil engineer, and Susan. Jones wife is Jill and he has a son called Robbie who has played for Australia in the ANZ Cup in Futsal. Jones also likes playing rugby, soccer, basketball and cricket. Alun played the role of Tom Cavendish in the 2004 movie '' Wimbledon''. Al Jones (English Musician)
Alun Ashworth-Jones (31 October 1945 – 1 June 2008), known as Al Jones, was an influential English folk and blues songwriter, guitarist and singer, noted for his distinctive and original folk-rock guitar style and his often darkly humorous lyrics. Early career He first came to prominence in the Bristol folk scene in the mid-1960s, where he formed a trio with harmonica player Elliot Jackson and singer/guitarist Ian A. Anderson. They were resident performers at the Bristol Troubadour Club and frequently played at Les Cousins in London. Jones' recording debut was as part of that trio on an EP in 1966. He moved to London in 1968/1969 and featured on "Matchbox Days", an early Village Thing compilation of tracks by the white British "Blues Boom" artists of that period, alongside Jo-Ann Kelly, John James, Mike Cooper and Dave Kelly. Alun Gwynne Jones, Baron Chalfont
Alun Arthur Gwynne Jones, Baron Chalfont, (5 December 1919 – 10 January 2020) was a British Army officer, a British politician and an historian. Early life and military career Gwynne Jones was born in modest circumstances in Monmouthshire. He was educated at West Monmouth School, and subsequently at the School of Slavonic Studies at the University of London. Joining the South Wales Borderers when the Second World War broke out, he was commissioned a second lieutenant on 2 November 1940. From 1941 to 1944 he fought in Burma alongside the Welsh poet Alun Lewis. On 1 January 1943, he received an emergency commission in the Royal Armoured Corps as a war-substantive lieutenant, with the same rank in the South Wales Borderers from 1 April. After the war, Gwynne Jones remained in the Army, receiving a substantive lieutenant's commission in the South Wales Borderers on 24 August 1946 (with seniority from 5 June 1942), and was promoted to captain on 5 December. Alun Ffred Jones
Alun Ffred Jones (born 29 October 1949) is a Welsh politician and member of Plaid Cymru and former television producer, writer and director. Jones was the National Assembly for Wales Member for Caernarfon 2003–07 and for the newly created Arfon constituency from 2007 until he stood down in 2016. He served as Minister for Heritage between 2008 and 2011 as part of the One Wales Government. In 2008 he made history by being the first UK representative to speak in the Welsh language at a meeting of the European Union. Alun Wyn Jones (born 19 September 1985) is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays as a lock for the Ospreys and the Wales national team. He is the world's most-capped rugby union player. Jones also holds the records for the most Wales caps and the most Wales caps as captain. Jones is the former captain of Wales, former captain of the Ospreys, and was the captain of the British & Irish Lions for their 2021 tour to South Africa. He is one of only four players to have been selected to play on four Lions tours, in 2009, 2013, 2017 and 2021.
