Alto Jequitibá is a Brazilian municipality in the state of Minas Gerais. It belongs to the mesoregion of Zona da Mata and to the microregion of Manhuaçu. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a statistic composite index of life expectancy, education (mean years of schooling completed and expected years of schooling upon entering the education system), and per capita income indicators, which is used to rank countries into four tiers of human development. Pico da Bandeira, or Bandeira Peak (Portuguese for ''Flag Peak'', ) is the third highest mountain in Brazil, situated on the border of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais states.
