Alpha Boucher
Alpha Boucher (14 November 1943 – 14 December 2020) was a Canadian actor. Biography Boucher was accepted into the Conservatoire de Québec in 1961 alongside his friend, Jean-Yves Gaudreault. He graduated in 1965. Alpha Boucher died in Lévis on 14 December 2020 at the age of 77. The Acadians (french: Acadiens , ) are an ethnic group descended from the French who settled in the New France colony of Acadia during the 17th and 18th centuries. Most Acadians live in the region of Acadia, as it is the region where the descendants of a few Acadians who escaped the Expulsion of the Acadians (aka The Great Upheaval / ''Le Grand Dérangement'') re-settled. ''Sous le signe du lion'' is a Quebec television series comprising thirty 30-minute episodes, directed by Jean-Pierre Sénécal and broadcast in 1961. A two-season remake (thirteen 60-minute episodes each season) was broadcast in 1997 and in 2000. The original screenplay was written by Françoise Loranger. Hélène Pedneault adapted it in 1997 and Guy Fournier in 2000. The 1997 adaptation was directed by Maude Martin, and the 2000 by Yvon Trudel. ''Scandale '' is a 1982 Canadian (Québec) comedy film. The plot is a reference to current events at the time of the film's creation. The response of a Parti Québécois government under René Lévesque to the recession of the early 1980s included harsh cutbacks to civil service pay which angered labour union members, a core part of the constituency of the PQ and sovereignty movement. In real life, the move would cost the party the next election. In the film, a band of government workers affected by budget cutbacks at the Ministry of Culture decide to make some fast bucks by making a blue movie in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. Their finished product is unexpectedly entered into competition at the Cannes Film Festival in order to showcase Québec's culture, shocking government officials. La Petite Patrie is a French Canadian television program from Quebec. It was broadcast between 1974 and 1976. This television series of Claude Jasmin told the life of a district of Montreal (Villeray) formed by the quadrilateral of the streets Saint-Denis, Beaubien, St-Hubert and Bélanger shortly after the war, between 1946 and 1948. The main character and narrator of this television series is Clément Germain, a 16 year old teenager who lived in this district with his family. Through the memories of Clément, viewers discovered this neighborhood during the years of Duplessis; with its trams, its ice deliverymen, its guénillou and its anglophone Chinese launderer among others. Edmundston
Edmundston is a city in Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. On 1 January 2023, Edmundston will expanded, annexing the village of Rivière-Verte and parts of the local service districts of the parish of Saint-Jacques and the parish of Saint-Joseph. History During the early colonial period, the area was a camping and meeting place of the Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik) Nation during seasonal migrations. From the mid to late eighteenth century, one of the largest Maliseet villages had been established at Madawaska and had become a refuge site for other Wabanaki peoples. The Maliseet village was originally located near the falls at the confluence of the Madawaska and Saint John Rivers.
