Alp Yalman (born 1 January 1940) is a Turkish businessman and former chairman of the Turkish sports club Galatasaray. Yalman was born in Istanbul. After graduating from Robert College in Turkey, he studied Social and Political Science in the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. He is fluent in English, French and German as well as his native Turkish. In 1973, he was brought onto the board of Galatasaray. Turgut Alp ( ota, طورغود آلپ) was one of the warriors and alps who fought for Ertuğrul, a Turkic leader and bey, and Ertuğrul's son Osman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire. After the establishment of the Empire, he became one of its military commanders, serving Osman I, as well as his son, Orhan Gazi. Prof. Ord. Sedat Alp (January 1, 1913 in Veroia – October 9, 2006 in Ankara) was the first Turkish archaeologist, historian and academic with a specialization in Hittitology, and was among the foremost names in the field. He was the president of the Turkish Historical Association from 1982 to 1983. Sedat Alp was born in Karaferye, present-day Veroia in Greece. His family moved to Turkey as a result of the exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey in 1923. Orhan Alp
Orhan Alp (1919 – 21 January 2010) was a Turkish mechanical engineer, politician and former government minister. Orhan Alp was born in Isparta, Ottoman Empire in 1919. He graduated from the Technical University of Berlin. Between 1942 and 1964 he served in the Turkish State Railways (TCDD). In 1964, he resigned from the TCDD, and briefly served in the Middle East Technical University as a lecturer. Political career Alp joined the Justice Party (AP). Although he was not a parliament member in 1965, he was appointed as the Minister of Public Works in the 29th government of Turkey on 20 February 1965, and served until 27 October 1965. Kelvyn Glen Alp (born 27 March 1971) is a New Zealand far-right politician and activist. During the 1990s, Alp established a paramilitary organisation called the New Zealand Armed Intervention Force. During the 2020s, Alp founded a far-right media platform called Counterspin Media, which played an active role in leading the 2022 Wellington protest.
