Alon Turgeman
Alon Turgeman ( he, אלון תורג'מן; born 9 June 1991) is an Israeli footballer who plays as a forward for Hapoel Be'er Sheva and the Israel national football team. Early life Turgeman was born in Hadera, Israel, to a family of Jewish descent. Club career He started to play football as a kid when he was part of Beitar Nes Tubruk. He represented Israel at the 2009 Maccabiah Games, winning a bronze medal. In 2010, he moved to Hapoel Petah Tikva, and became a member of the senior side when he was 18 years old. In his only year with the senior team he made 30 caps, 8 goals and 2 assists and help the team to stay in the league. On 7 August 2011 under the recommendation of Shlomo Scharf to the owner Ya'akov Shahar he signed with Israeli giants Maccabi Haifa. 2009 Maccabiah Games
The 18th Maccabiah Games ( he, המכביה ה-18 ישראל תשס"ט), were held in July 2009. According to the organizing committee these were the largest games held yet. These Games were the world's fifth-largest sporting event, behind the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, World Police and Fire Games, and Universiade. The 2010–11 Israeli Premier League was the twelfth season since its introduction in 1999 and the 69th season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 21 August 2010 and ended on 21 May 2011. Arik Benado
Ariel "Arik" Benado ( he, אריאל "אריק" בנאדו ; born 5 December 1973) is an Israeli football manager and former player who played as a centre-back. Playing career Benado was a second generation player at Maccabi Haifa; his father, Shlomo, appeared for Haifa in the 1970s. Arik began playing at the age of nine, rising through the ranks to the senior team. He spent a two-year spell with Beitar Jerusalem in the mid-1990s to gain experience. He has won five league championships and a State Cup title with Maccabi. Benado is also a long-standing member of the Israeli national team where he holds the record as the most capped player (94 caps), and plays as a central defender. Weeam Amasha ( ar, وئام عماشة, he, וויאם עמאשה; born 8 August 1985) is a Golan Heights-born Druze footballer. Early life Amasha is a Druze from the village Buq'ata, Golan Heights. Shlomo Scharf ( he, שלמה שרף; born 1 January 1943) is a former Israeli football (soccer), football player and coach (sport), manager who now works as a regular commentator on Israeli Sport 5 TV channel. Scharf managed Maccabi Haifa to three championships, and was Israel national football team manager from 1992 to 1999. Managerial career Scharf managed the Israeli national team from 1992 to 1999 during which time he beat France 3-2 in an away game, and his contract was repeatedly extended due to his improvements. Hapoel Petah Tikva F.C. ( he, הפועל פתח תקווה) is an Israeli football club based in the city of Petah Tikva, currently playing in the Liga Leumit. Its most successful period was throughout the 1950s and 1960s, in which the club won six League Championships and one State Cups.
