Main Street is a station on Line 2 Bloor–Danforth in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is located on the east side of Main Street a short distance north of Danforth Avenue. Connections to GO Transit's commuter train service on the Lakeshore East line can be made at Danforth GO Station, approximately 300 metres to the south on the east side of Main Street. Wi-Fi service is available at this station. Description The TTC station is roughly rectangular in shape and has 3 levels: street level, concourse level and platform level. Main Street–Science World (formerly Main Street) is an elevated station on the Expo Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The station is accessible from both sides of Main Street at the intersection of Main Street and Terminal Avenue and is adjacent to Pacific Central Station, the city's inter-city railway and bus terminal. History Prior to SkyTrain's opening, the station served as the western terminus of a short demonstration track during the summer of 1983. A single two-car prototype train ran both eastbound and westbound on the current westbound track, between the station and what was at that time the end of the completed guideway, at the eastern end of the centre median of Terminal Avenue. Main Street Railway Station (Glasgow)
Main Street railway station, Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland, was built by the City of Glasgow Union Railway while the new line from Shields Junction to St Enoch station was being developed in the 1870s. It was situated adjacent to Gorbals station, which served trains on the Barrhead branch line to St Enoch, close to where the two lines merged at Gorbals Junction. Remnants of both stations can still be seen in Gorbals Street and Hospital Street. Main Street station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Norristown, Pennsylvania, United States. It serves the Manayunk/Norristown Line. It is one of the two stations on the short electrified branch to Elm Street in Norristown. The station has 76 parking spaces. It is located at Main and Markley Streets. The Main Street Station Hotel and Casino and Brewery is a hotel and casino located in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. It is owned by Boyd Gaming. The casino is connected to California Hotel and Casino by an enclosed skywalk over Main Street. Downers Grove Main Street (also known as Downers Grove or Main Street) is one of three railroad stations on Metra's BNSF Line in Downers Grove, Illinois. The station is at Main Street, from Union Station, the east end of the line. As of 2018, Downers Grove Main Street is the sixth busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 2,492 weekday boardings. The local police department and library are nearby. Parking lots are managed by the Village of Downers Grove. The station has connections to multiple Pace Buses, including the Commuter Shuttle lines. This station was the site of the 1947 Zephyr train wreck that killed 3 and injured more than 30. The station went under a $1.1 million platform replacement project, which finished in the summer of 2015. Many trains on the BNSF run express to or from Downers Grove. Evanston Main Street is the southernmost of the three commuter railroad stations in Evanston, Illinois. It is served by Metra's Union Pacific North Line trains, which go south to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin. Travel time to Ogilvie is typically 23 minutes, but can be as high as 26 minutes during rush hour. In Metra's zone-based fare system, the station is in zone C. As of 2018, Evanston Main Street is the 41st busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 1,130 weekday boardings. The station does not contain a ticket agent booth; passengers must purchase their tickets on board the train.
