Alliance Des Radios Communautaires Du Canada
The Alliance des radios communautaires du Canada is a Canadian organization, which serves as a coordinating body for French-language community radio stations in the regions of English Canada, where French speakers are in the minority. Founded in 1991, the organization supports the development and maintenance of French-language community radio in Canada through lobbying, advocacy, management support, training and syndication of programming. The organization cooperates with, but operates separately from, the Association des radiodiffuseurs communautaires du Québec for community radio stations in Quebec. In 2018, the two organizations held their first-ever joint conference for all French-language community radio stations across Canada. Kedgwick is a Canadian incorporated rural community in northern New Brunswick, Canada. On 1 January 2023, Kedgwick annexed a large area including the local service districts of St. Jean Baptiste – Menneval and White's Brook, with parts of two others. Edmundston is a city in Madawaska County, New Brunswick, Canada. On 1 January 2023, Edmundston will expanded, annexing the village of Rivière-Verte and parts of the local service districts of the parish of Saint-Jacques and the parish of Saint-Joseph. History During the early colonial period, the area was a camping and meeting place of the Maliseet (Wolastoqiyik) Nation during seasonal migrations. From the mid to late eighteenth century, one of the largest Maliseet villages had been established at Madawaska and had become a refuge site for other Wabanaki peoples. The Maliseet village was originally located near the falls at the confluence of the Madawaska and Saint John Rivers. CFBO-FM (90.7 MHz) is a French-language Canadian radio station broadcasting in Moncton, New Brunswick. The station airs a hot adult contemporary/community radio format branded as ''Plus 90.7''. Its studios are located at the Arts and Cultural centre in Dieppe. Owned by Radio Beauséjour Inc., the station was licensed in 2004. However, an article in the October 6, 2008 edition of the Northeast Radio Watch (NERW) stated that there's a new signal in Moncton operating at 90.7 FM, known as ''BO-FM 90.7'' with a French adult contemporary format. Dieppe () is a city in the Canadian maritime province of New Brunswick. Statistics Canada counted the population at 28,114 in 2021, making it the fourth-largest city in the province.
