Allan Forrest Fisher (September 1, 1885 – July 25, 1941) was an American silent film actor. Life and career Allan Forrest Fisher starred in 119 films, mostly silent, between 1913 and 1932. He appeared in films such as '' The Torch Bearer'', with actress Charlotte Burton. in 1916, he married actress Ann Little; they were divorced in 1918. On January 8, 1922, Forrest married actress Lottie Pickford in Hollywood. They divorced in 1928. ''Periwinkle'' is a 1917 American silent film directed by James Kirkwood and starring Mary Miles Minter. It was based on the 1910 novel Periwinkle; an Idyl of the Dunes written by William Farquhar Payson. As with many of Minter's features, it is thought to be a lost film. Plot As described in various film magazine reviews, Periwinkle (Minter) was rescued from a shipwreck as a baby by the members of a remote coast-guard station. She is raised by Ann Scudder (Schaefer) and her elderly father Ephraim (Periolat), and cared for by all of the men at the coastguard station. When she grows older, she helps them when there are shipwrecks. One night, Periwinkle helps to rescue Dick Langdon (Fisher), a wealthy and carefree New York socialite, from the wreck of his yacht. Plot As described in various film magazine reviews, Joan Hope (Minter) is the daughter of the "Chewing Gum King" (Periolat), who longs for adventure and romance. When her father is away on business, she seizes the opportunity to do a little travelling of her own. On the train, she meets the "Countess of Crex" (Shelby) who proposes that, being of similar appearance and dress, she and Joan should swap identities for a week. Joan agrees eagerly, unaware that the "Countess" is in fact a crook in possession of stolen diamonds, who proposes the swap in the hope of avoiding the detective on her trail.
