All Through The Night (folk Song)
"Ar Hyd y Nos" () is a Welsh song sung to a tune that was first recorded in Edward Jones' ''Musical and Poetical Relics of the Welsh Bards'' (1784). The most commonly sung Welsh lyrics were written by John Ceiriog Hughes (1832-1887), and have been translated into several languages, including English (most famously by Harold Boulton (1859–1935)) and Breton. One of the earliest English versions, to different Welsh lyrics by one John Jones, was by Thomas Oliphant in 1862. The melody is also used in the hymns "Go My Children With My Blessing” (1983), “God That Madest Earth and Heaven” (1827) and "Father in your Love Enfold Us". The song is highly popular with traditional Welsh male voice choirs, and is sung by them at festivals in Wales and around the world. The song is also sometimes considered a Christmas carol, and as such has been performed by many artists on Christmas albums, including Olivia Newton-John and Michael McDonald, who sang it as a duet on Newton-John's 2007 ...

All Through The Night (Cyndi Lauper Song)
"All Through the Night" is a song written and recorded by Jules Shear for his 1983 album '' Watch Dog''. It was produced by Todd Rundgren. The song was covered by the rock band the Cars, who did not use it on any of their albums, and by Cyndi Lauper, who included it on her debut album ''She's So Unusual'' (1984). Lauper's version peaked at number five on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, becoming her fourth top five single in the U.S. An acoustic version was sung by Lauper on her 2005 album, ''The Body Acoustic'', with additional vocals by Shaggy. Shear said his own idea was that "All Through the Night" was a folk song, but that Lauper's electronic interpretation was more lucrative, paying for his New York apartment. Writing and composition The song was written by Jules Shear for his 1983 debut solo album, ''Watch Dog''. Produced by Todd Rundgren, the song was composed in a medium tempo. Lyrically, "All Through the Night" addresses the concept of love and its tug at heart-strings. ...

"All Through the Night" is a single by Tone Lōc and El DeBarge from Tone Lōc's second album, ''Cool Hand Lōc''. Following the huge success of ''Lōc-ed After Dark'' and two of its three singles (" Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina"), Tone Lōc released his sophomore album ''Cool Hand Lōc''. "All Through the Night", featuring R&B star El DeBarge, was released in advance of its album on October 29, 1991. "All Through the Night" found moderate success, reaching #80 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and #16 on the Rap Songs chart. However, compared to his previous singles, "All Through the Night" failed to live up to expectations. Despite its poor performance in radio and sales, the music video received heavy airplay on MTV and BET. It is his last single to chart. A remix was made featuring Tone Lōc's labelmates, the Brand New Heavies. Single Track Listing #"All Through The Night" feat. ''Civilian'' is the eleventh and final studio album by the British band Gentle Giant, released in 1980. It was recorded at Sound City Studios in the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles with former Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick. Consisting mostly of short rock songs, it is closer to a traditional rock sound than the progressive style for which the band is best known. The album also marked a return to Columbia Records in the U.S. and Canada after an eight-year hiatus; the band's last album released with Columbia had been 1972's ''Octopus''. The album peaked at No. 203 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Soon after the album's release, Gentle Giant played a final tour and then split up. Another track from the same period, "You Haven't a Chance", appeared on the compilation album '' Under Construction'' 17 years later. The LP generated the #18 ''Billboard'' pop single "Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)," while a second single, "Cruisin' Music", did not chart. This was the first album by the Raspberries to feature songs with profanity. Those songs were “Starting Over”, which featured the word "fucking" once, and the song “Party’s Over”, which featured the word "shit" twice. Background Stylistically, ''Starting Over'' represented a more aggressive arena rock/ hard rock sound than previous albums in a way reminiscent of The Who, which was one of the groups' biggest influences. The album also included softer ballads such as "Rose Coloured Glasses" and "Cry". ''Starting Over'' featured a new line-up with Michael McBride (drums), who had drummed with Carmen and Bryson in their previous band in the late '60s, Cyrus Erie, and Scott McC ...
