The Church of England (C of E) is the established Christian church in England and the mother church of the international Anglican Communion. Doddinghurst is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Borough of Brentwood, Brentwood, in south Essex. It is 3 miles (5 km) to the north of Brentwood, Essex, Brentwood. History The village was recorded in the Domesday Book as Doddenhenc, an Anglo-Saxon name meaning "the wood of Dudda or of his people". The modern form of the village name was established by the 13th century.
