All Ghillied Up
"All Ghillied Up" is a level in the 2007 first-person shooter video game '' Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare'' and its 2016 remastered version, '' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered''. Set in Pripyat, Ukraine in 1996, the player assumes control of then Lieutenant John Price and is assisted by their superior Captain MacMillan. The player may deal with enemies stealthily, overtly, or avoid engaging them altogether. The name refers to the ghillie suits worn by the characters in the mission. It was designed by Mohammad Alavi initially in secret due to the difficulty of explaining its intricacies to the artificial intelligence (AI) programmer. It took Alavi three months and more than 10,000 lines of code to make the first minute of gameplay for the level. Mohammad Alavi (game Developer)
Mohammad Alavi ( fa, محمد علوی, ) is an Iranian-American video game developer who formerly worked at Respawn Entertainment. He is best known for his critically acclaimed work on the ''Call of Duty'' series at Infinity Ward, creating the iconic "Crew Expendable" and "All Ghillied Up" missions from '' Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare'' (2007) as well as the controversial " No Russian" mission from ''Modern Warfare 2'' (2009). ''Official Xbox Magazine'' (or OXM for short) was a British monthly video game magazine which started in November 2001 around the launch of the original Xbox. A preview issue was released at E3 2001, with another preview issue in November 2001. "No Russian" is a controversial mission in the 2009 video game '' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2'' and its remastered version, '' Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered''. In the level, the player participates in a mass shooting at a Russian airport, although the player is not forced or told by the game itself to shoot any civilians and may skip the level altogether without penalty. "No Russian" is noticeably more graphic than any other level in the game. The plot of "No Russian" revolves around Army Ranger PFC. Pripyat Amusement Park
The Pripyat amusement park is an abandoned amusement park located in Pripyat, Ukraine. It was to have its grand opening on 1 May 1986, in time for the May Day celebrations, but these plans were cancelled on 26 April, when the Chernobyl disaster occurred a few kilometers away. Several sources report that the park was opened for a short time on 27 April before the announcement to evacuate the city was made. These reports claim that the park was hurriedly opened to distract Pripyat residents from the unfolding disaster nearby. However, these claims remain largely unsubstantiated and unsupported. Pripyat residents have not been able to recall for sure if the park was opened following the disaster, but considering the lack of panic at the time of the disaster and subsequent evacuation, there would seem to be no need to distract people. Chernobyl
Chernobyl ( , ; russian: Чернобыль, ) or Chornobyl ( uk, Чорнобиль, ) is a partially abandoned city in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, situated in the Vyshhorod Raion of northern Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. Chernobyl is about north of Kyiv, and southwest of the Belarusian city of Gomel. Before its evacuation, the city had about 14,000 residents, while around 1,000 people live in the city today.
