All Fours (album)
''All Fours'' is the fourth studio album by American band Bosse-de-Nage. Released on April 14, 2015 by Profound Lore Records, the album was produced by Jack Shirley, who is known for his work for Deafheaven and Loma Prieta. The album features a black metal and post-hardcore style infused with " mathy post-rock, shoegaze and screamo" elements, which drew comparisons to the works of Slint and Shirley in the post-hardcore genre. The vocalist Bryan Manning's sex-themed lyrics were also compared to the works of Pig Destroyer, Italo Calvino and Jorge Luis Borges. Critical reception The album generally received positive reviews from music critics. Slint
Slint was an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky, formed in 1986. The band consisted of guitarist and vocalist Brian McMahan, guitarist David Pajo, drummer and vocalist Britt Walford, Todd Brashear (bassist on ''Spiderland''), and Ethan Buckler (bassist on ''Tweez''). Slint's first album, ''Tweez'', was recorded by engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. Pig Destroyer is an American grindcore band formed in 1997 in Alexandria, Virginia. The band was formed by vocalist J.R. Hayes, guitarist Scott Hull, and drummer John Evans. Throughout the band's earlier history, they were a three-piece group until sampler Blake Harrison joined in 2006, notably had no bassist until the inclusion of John Jarvis in 2013, and went through 2 past drummers with the role currently held by Adam Jarvis.
