The 2003 All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship—known as the Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship for sponsorship reasons—was the high point of the 2003 season. The championship was won by Tipperary who defeated Cork by a three-point margin in the final. The attendance was a then record of 16,183. Player of the Match was Eimear McDonnell, a niece of Cork football legend Billy Morgan. Una O'Dwyer is a camogie player, winner of the Texaco Player of the Year award in 2004, an All-Star award in 2004, a Lynchpin award, predecessor of the All Star awards, in 2003 and All Ireland medals in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004. Career She played in eight successive All Ireland finals for Tipperary winning five All Ireland medals in 1999, 2000, 2001, captaining the team in 2003 and winning the Irish Independent player of the match award in 2004. Gemma O'Connor (born 1985) is a camogie player. She is the most decorated player in the sport. Born in Cork, O'Connor won All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship medals in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. She is a ten-time Camogie All Star award winner, six of which she received in succession: (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017). She was also a member of the Team of the Championship for 2011. Claire Madden (camogie)
Claire Madden (14 October 1905 – 15 October 1998) was an Irish librarian, feminist and political activist. Early life Claire Madden was born Kathleen May Delacheroise Madden at Boley House, Coolattin, County Wicklow on 14 October 1905. She was the eldest daughter and second child of teachers Thomas and May Madden (née Glynn). She had an older brother, Tom, and younger sister, Mabel Anne Constance. This was her father's second marriage, and Madden had 7 older half siblings who appear to have cut off contact with their father. She was raised Protestant, but converted to Catholicism later in life, along with her interest in the Irish language and studying Irish history. The family lived in Galway, before moving to Stockport, Cheshire, where her parents ran a small private school. Cashel King Cormacs GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Cashel, County Tipperary in Ireland. They play their games in Leahy Park, on the Clonmel Road in Cashel.
