Alizeh Imtiaz
Alizeh Imtiaz (born 10 November 1986, in Karachi, Pakistan) is the a Pakistani filmmaker. She's the first Pakistani to have successfully had a debut short film screened at the London Filmmakers Convention. Her film, ''Shades of Black'' was screened at the convention in 2007. The short film won the award for Best Film at the London Filmmakers Convention and was also screened at the London Portobello Film Festival in August 2008. She is one of the youngest directors in Pakistan, and one of the very few to have gained international acclaim. Imtiaz completed her BA in English and Film and TV Studies from Brunel University, London. She's currently serving as a trustee on the board of DSRA Schools for the underprivileged. The short film, ''Shades of Black'', was an experimental piece which focused on the journey of a prisoner released from Karachi Central Jail. Portobello Film Festival
The Portobello Film Festival is an independent international film festival based in London, which annually premiers over 700 new films, including feature films, features, short films, shorts, documentaries, music films, and animation. Additionally, workshops and talks with top film directors (such as Stephen Frears and John Maybury) are also featured. Admission to the three-week-long festival is free of charge. Origins The Film Festival was created in 1996 as a reaction to the state of the British film industry, which was perceived as declining, to provide a forum for new film-makers and give exposure to movies on different formats. Hum TV is a 24-hour Urdu General Entertainment TV channel based in Karachi, Pakistan. It was founded by Sultana Siddiqui and Duraid Qureshi. It is owned by Hum Network Limited and traded on Pakistan Stock Exchange as (HUMNL). Hum Network Limited was known as ''Eye Television Network Limited'' prior to 21 January 2011. Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art
The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA; ) is a drama school in London, England, that provides vocational conservatoire training for theatre, film, television, and radio. It is based in the Bloomsbury area of Central London, close to the Senate House complex of the University of London and is a founding member of the Federation of Drama Schools. It is one of the oldest drama schools in the United Kingdom, founded in 1904 by Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree. It moved to buildings on Gower Street in 1905. Rahat Kazmi ( ur, ) is a Pakistani actor, screenwriter, TV news presenter anchorman, and an academician. He has worked in several TV serials for PTV such as 1967's ''Mayaar'', 1974's ''Qurbatain aur Faaslay'' and 1976's Pakistan's first coloured and classical serial '' Parchaiyan''.
