Alive In Oslo
''Alive in Oslo'' (fully titled ''The Day of Total Armageddon Holocaust – Alive in Oslo'') is a live album by Australian unblack metal band Horde, released by Veridon Music in April 2007. The album features a live concert by the band, recorded at Nordic Fest in Oslo, Norway on 3 November 2006, during which nearly all the band's material was performed except for the tracks "Drink From the Chalice of Blood," "Weak, Feeble, Dying Antichrist," and "Mine Heart Doth Beseech Thee (O Master)." It also features a bonus DVD of the same name containing video footage of the show. Three songs from the live album later appeared as bonus tracks on the remastered version of Horde's only studio album, ''Hellig Usvart'' (1994), released by Metal Mind Productions in May 2008. Horde (band)
Horde (originally called Beheadoth) is the unblack metal solo project of Australian musician Jayson Sherlock, formerly of Mortification and Paramaecium. In 1994, the only studio album, ''Hellig Usvart,'' was released on Nuclear Blast Records. With a session line-up, Horde played live in 2006 in Norway and in 2010 in Finland and Germany. ''Hellig Usvart'' proved to be a seminal release for the unblack metal movement, and the album was highly controversial in the secular black metal scene at the time it was released. History Sherlock recorded one studio album, ''Hellig Usvart'' ("Holy Unblack"), under the pseudonym "Anonymous" (a possible play on "Euronymous", Mayhem guitarist), releasing it on Nuclear Blast in 1994, followed by a later re-release by Rowe Productions. Jayson Sherlock
Jayson Sherlock (born 1970) is a Christian metal musician from Australia. He began his career in the Australian death metal band Mortification, which was considered to be a major pioneer in the genre. Sherlock was the founder of the one-man project unblack metal band Horde, in which he played every instrument. He has also been in other bands such as Paramaecium, inExordium, Altera Enigma, and Soundscape. During 2012, he was the drummer for Deliverance. He is currently the drummer for the death metal band Revulsed. Biography Style Sherlock is known for his unique and extremely fast double bass pedal and blast beat technique. Hellig Usvart
''Hellig Usvart'' is the debut studio album by Australian unblack metal band Horde, released on Nuclear Blast Records in 1994. Upon its release, the album created a controversy among many black metal fans; death threats were sent to Nuclear Blast demanding the label to drop the album from its catalogue because the album contains Christian, anti-satanic lyrics, counteracting the usual black metal thematics at the time. As a result of the strong lyrical contradiction, the album was thought to be a parody of the Norwegian black metal movement by magazines such as ''Morgenbladet'' in 1995. The sole member of the band, Jayson Sherlock (who used the pseudonym Anonymous), later stated in interviews that the album was intended to bring "some hope, some light to the bleak black metal subculture." Metal Mind Productions (MMP) is a Polish record label founded in 1987. The label focuses on rock and heavy metal. MMP is also publisher of ''Metal Hammer'', the largest and the oldest heavy metal magazine. As a concert agency, it organises Metalmania, the largest heavy metal event in Central–Eastern Europe, and it organised over 1000 concerts, including Monsters of Rock in Poland, 1991. Crimson Moonlight is a Sweden, Swedish unblack metal band. The band was formed in the summer of 1997 with the mere intention of recording a primitive old school black metal demo and playing one show before breaking up.
