Bruce Dickinson
Paul Bruce Dickinson (born 7 August 1958) is an English singer who has been the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden from 1981 to 1993 and 1999–present. He is known for his wide-ranging operatic vocal style and energetic stage presence. Dickinson began his career in music fronting small pub bands in the 1970s while attending school in Sheffield and university in London. In 1979, he joined British new wave heavy metal band Samson, with whom he gained some popularity under the stage name "Bruce Bruce" and performed on two studio records. He left Samson in 1981 to join Iron Maiden, replacing Paul Di'Anno, and debuted on their 1982 album '' The Number of the Beast''. During his first tenure in the band, they issued a series of US and UK platinum and gold albums in the 1980s and early 1990s. Dickinson quit Iron Maiden in 1993 (being replaced by Blaze Bayley) to pursue his solo career, which saw him experiment with a wide variety of heavy metal and rock styles. He ...

The English language name Bruce arrived in Scotland with the Normans, from the place name Brix, Manche in Normandy, France, meaning "the willowlands". Initially promulgated via the descendants of king Robert the Bruce (1274−1329), it has been a Scottish surname since medieval times; it is now a common given name. Tattooed Millionaire (song)
"Tattooed Millionaire" is the first single from Bruce Dickinson's debut solo album, ''Tattooed Millionaire''. It was released on 11 April 1990. "Tattooed Millionaire" reached number 18 on the UK charts. The promotional video was directed by Storm Thorgerson. According to ''Ultimate Classic Rock'', the song is about "celebrity tabloid rockers". A 1990 review published in '' The Georgia Straight'', says the song ''takes a not-so-subtle stab at the excesses of the L.A. rock ’n’ roll lifestyle, particularly that led by Vince Neil and his Motley gang''. Nikki Sixx has stated that the song is about him, inspired by Dickinson's then-wife cheating on him with Sixx and then Dickinson finding out about it after reading ''The Dirt'', though that is doubtful since "Tattooed Millionaire" was released eleven years before ''The Dirt'' was published. Track listing # Tattooed Millionaire – 4:29 # Ballad of Mutt – 3:37 # Winds of Change – 3:23 Personnel * Bruce Dic ...

Scream For Me Brazil
''Scream for Me Brazil'' is a live album by Bruce Dickinson, recorded in São Paulo, Brazil and released in 1999. The actual concert set list consisted of eighteen songs, but six of them were cut out from this release. The songs in question were three Iron Maiden songs; "Powerslave", "2 Minutes to Midnight" and "Flight of Icarus" as well as three of Dickinson's own songs; "Jerusalem", "Taking the Queen" and "Tattooed Millionaire". "Jerusalem" from this concert was later released on ''The Best of Bruce Dickinson'' compilation album in 2001. Background The album was released when guitarist Adrian Smith embodied his return to Iron Maiden and was considered a valuable conclusion of Dickinson's solo career. The first part of the concert consists entirely of the songs from the album '' The Chemical Wedding'', and then the inevitable "Tears of the Dragon" begins to remake Dickinson's classics. The album does not include songs from ''Skunkworks'' and ''Tattooed Millionaire''. The album ...

Alive In Studio A
''Alive in Studio A'' is a heavy metal album released by Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson in 1995. The album does not include new songs but instead re-recordings of songs from Bruce's first two solo-albums ''Tattooed Millionaire'' and ''Balls to Picasso'' with his new band line-up. This line-up would record the next album, ''Skunkworks''. The first CD was recorded live at Metropolis Studios, London, while the second CD is composed of live-recordings at the Marquee Club with his new band. The idea was for a low-key release of these double albums, and, according to the booklet in the 2005 re-release, Bruce Dickinson was less than pleased when the record company tried to pass them off as new material. ''Alive In Studio A'' was originally meant as a live session to be played on a US radio station, however, this never took place. Track listings ;Disc one – ''Alive in Studio A'' # "Cyclops" – 7:15 # "Shoot All the Clowns" – 4:55 # "Son of a Gun" – 5:44 # "Tears of the ...

Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. In 1968, three of the genre's most famous pioneers – Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple – were founded. Though they came to attract wide audiences, they were often derided by critics. Several American bands modified heavy metal into more accessible forms during the 1970s: the raw, sleazy sound and shock rock of Alice Cooper and Kiss (band), Kiss; the blues-rooted rock of Aerosmith; and the flashy guitar leads and party rock of Van Halen. During the mid-1970s, Judas Priest helped spur the genre's evolution by discarding much of its blues influence,Walser (1993), p. 6 while Motörhea ...

Box Set
A box set or (its original name) boxed set is a set of items (for example, a compilation of books, musical recordings, films or television programs) traditionally packaged in a box and offered for sale as a single unit. Music Artists and bands with an extremely long and successful career often have anthology or "essential" collections of their boxes of music released as box sets. These often include rare and never-before-released tracks. Some box sets collect previously released boxes of singles or albums by a music artist, and often collect the complete discography of an artist such as Pink Floyd's ''Oh, by the Way'' and ''Discovery'' sets. Sometimes bands release expanded versions of their most successful albums such as Pink Floyd's ''Immersion'' box set versions of their ''The Dark Side of the Moon'' (1973), ''Wish You Were Here'' (1975) and ''The Wall'' (1979) albums. Pink Floyd have also released ''The Early Years 1965–1972'' box set which features mostly unreleased mate ...
