Alina Tecuţă
Camelia Alina Gherasim (née Tecuţă, born 10 November 1971 in Galaţi) is a Romanian long-distance runner. Gherasim competed in the marathon at the 2000 Summer Olympics. She has won a number of road races including the 1996 Paris Marathon, the 2005 Monaco Marathon (2:43:44), and the 2006 California International Marathon (2:34:23). Marrakech Marathon
The Marrakech Marathon is an annual marathon held in Marrakech, Morocco. Roughly 5000 runners turn out for the event annually. 2001 World Championships In Athletics
The 8th World Championships in Athletics, under the auspices of the International Association of Athletics Federations, were held at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada between 3 August and 12 August and was the first time the event had visited North America. The music for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies was composed by Canadian composers Jan Randall and Cassius Khan. The ceremonies also featured a 1000 voice choir, and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
