Alicia Pineault
Alicia Pineault (; born July 26, 1999) is a Canadian figure skater. She is the 2016 Canadian national junior silver medalist and has represented Canada at two Four Continents Championships, finishing within the top ten in 2020. She has also competed on the Grand Prix series. Personal life Pineault was born on July 26, 1999, in Montreal. She studied at École Secondaire de Mortagne before enrolling at Cégep Édouard-Montpetit. Career Early career Pineault began learning to skate in 2003. Coached by Stéphane Yvars and Françoise Parisé in Boucherville, she won silver in the novice ladies' category at the 2015 Canadian Championships and silver in the junior ranks at the 2016 Canadian Championships. Skate Canada ( Canadian French: ''Patinage Canada'', lit. "Skating Canada") is the national governing body for figure skating in Canada, recognized by the International Skating Union and the Canadian Olympic Committee. It organizes the annual Canadian Figure Skating Championships, the fall Skate Canada International competition, other national and international skating competitions in Canada, and the Skate Canada Hall of Fame. The organization was founded in 1887 as the Amateur Skating Association of Canada for speed and figure skating by Louis Rubenstein of Montreal's Victoria Skating Club. 2020 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2020 World Figure Skating Championships were scheduled to be held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from March 16 to March 22, 2020. Figure skaters would have competed for the title of world champion in men's singles, ladies' singles, pairs, and ice dance. This would have been the first time that Montreal hosted the World Figure Skating Championships since 1932. The competition was supposed to determine the entry quotas for each federation at the 2021 World Championships. The competition was cancelled on March 11 due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, with the possibility of being held later in the year, but not within the current season. It was the second time the event had been cancelled for reasons other than a World War, after the 1961 World Championships were cancelled following the Sabena Flight 548 crash. Emily Bausback
Emily Bausback (born July 24, 2002) is a Canadian retired figure skater. She is the 2020 Canadian national champion. Career Bausback began learning to skate in 2005. She trains at the Champs International Skating Centre of BC at Scotia Barn in Burnaby, British Columbia, coached by Joanne McLeod. Bausback debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in September 2016. 2019–20 season Commencing her fourth season on the Junior Grand Prix, Bausback placed sixth at JGP United States in Lake Placid. Selected afterward to make her senior international debut on the Challenger series, she was sixth at the 2019 CS Warsaw Cup. The 2019 Skate Canada International was the second event of the 2019–20 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, a senior-level international invitational competition series. It was held at Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia from October 25 to 27. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Larkyn Austman (born February 22, 1998) is a former competitive Canadian figure skater. She is the 2017 International Challenge Cup bronze medalist and the 2018 Canadian national bronze medalist. On the junior level, she is the 2013 Canadian junior national champion and the 2012 Canadian junior national silver medalist. She placed 25th at the 2018 Winter Olympics.
