Alice In Videoland
Alice in Videoland was an electroclash band from Sweden. They were compared to bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Missing Persons and The Sounds, although they are more electronic. History Alice in Videoland describe themselves as a combination of minimal 80's synth pop music with an upbeat electronic body music (ebm) assault and a bitchy disco punk female singer. Alice in Videoland was formed in 2002 by singer Toril Lindqvist and former band member Carl Lundgren. The band gained a massive response on their very first demo with the original idea, which they still try to adhere to, of combining edgy synth-basses, ebm and electro with punk rock, and placing the edgy voice and melodies of Toril on top to create a unique style. After six months of being on the ‘demo market’ the band were signed to the National label and recruited Anders Alexander (drums and synths) and Johan Dahlbom (bass). Skövde
Skövde () is a locality and urban centre in Skövde Municipality and Västra Götaland County, in the Västergötland (Western Gothland region) in central Southern Sweden. Christopher Hamill (born 19 December 1958), known professionally as Limahl (an anagram of Hamill), is an English pop singer. He was the lead singer of the pop group Kajagoogoo beginning in 1981, before embarking on a brief solo career, garnering the 1984 hit "The NeverEnding Story", the theme song for the film of the same name. Sara Noxx is a German musician and member of the alternative music scene. She is also a member of the band Essexx, who in 1997 were the winners of the ''Zillo'' band contest. Career Noxx's debut solo release was the 1997 mini-album ''Society'' on Nightshade Productions. Her 2001, the album ''Exxtasy'' reached No. 9 on the DAC. XPQ-21 are a German electronic body music band, led by Jeyênne. They are best known for their club hit "White And Alive", a hit on the Deutsche Alternative Charts in 2002,,"Rockin' Silver Knight" and "Dead Body", DAC hits in 2006. Electronic Body Music
Electronic body music (acronymized to EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of disco and dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe as an outgrowth of both punk and industrial music cultures.
