Gian Carlo Aliberti
Gian Carlo Aliberti, also Giancarlo or Giovanni Carlo Aliberti, (13 February 1670 - 2 February 1727) was a prolific Piedmontese painter of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.V. Malfatto and P. Rogna''Asti nella storia delle sue vie''. Biography He was born in Canelli in 1670 (according to some sources on 5 March 1662). He soon moved to Asti. His artistic training is not known. According to Lanzi he made his own manner of painting, that is, he resented the Maratta and the Carracci school, with some echoes from Correggio. His activity, very fervent, however, took place within his region. He trained likely with Giovanni Battista Fariano in Asti. By the turn of the century, he moved to Rome, to pursue further training. Returning to Asti, he wed the daughter of the painter Giovanni Antonio Laveglia. Giuseppe Aliberti (; 5 March 1901 – 8 January 1956) was an Italian football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. Franco Junior Aliberti Barreto (born on 16 June 1984 in Montevideo) is a Uruguayan footballer ( striker) who plays for Patriotas of Colombia. Lucia Aliberti (born 12 June 1957) is a Italian operatic soprano singer. She performed the bel canto roles of Bellini, Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, Puccini, Vivaldi, Mercadante and so on. Life and career Aliberti was born in Messina (Sicily). She studied piano, composition, conducting, and singing at the Conservatory, where she graduated with a diploma with full marks very young. She then completed her studies in Rome with Maestro Luigi Ricci and continued the study with Alfredo Kraus. Musician and composer, while studying singing, she was also studying the piano and other musical instruments (guitar, accordion, violin, mandolin). She has composed many pieces for piano, clarinet, flute and singing. She began her artistic career in Spoleto at the Festival dei Due Mondi, under the direction of Gian Carlo Menotti.
