Ali Traoré
Ali Traoré (born February 28, 1985) is an Ivorian-born French former professional basketball player. He also represented the France national basketball team internationally. Standing at , he played at the center position. Professional career Traoré made his professional debut with ASVEL Basket during the 2001–02 season. In the 2004–05 season he played college basketball at the College of Southern Idaho. In February 2005, he returned to France and signed with UJAP Quimper 29 for the rest of the season. For the 2005–06 season he signed with Chorale Roanne. From 2006 to 2008 he played with STB Le Havre. On June 28, 2008, he signed a one-year deal with ASVEL Basket. On June 30, 2009, he re-signed with ASVEL. On July 22, 2010, he signed a two-year contract with Italian club Virtus Roma. He left Roma after one season. EuroBasket, also commonly referred to as the European Basketball Championship, is the main international basketball competition that is contested quadrennially, by the senior men's national teams that are governed by FIBA Europe, which is the European zone within the International Basketball Federation. The 2013 BBL-Pokal – officially named 2013 Beko BBL-Pokal because of sponsorship reasons – was the 46th season of the German Basketball Cup. It was the 4th season as the League Cup for the BBL. The Final Four was held at the O2 World in Berlin, which gained ALBA Berlin automatic qualification for the tournament. Basketball Bundesliga-Pokal, commonly known as the BBL-Pokal, is the annual national basketball cup competition in Germany. Since 2009, the title has been awarded to the winner of a tournament competition between top clubs of each Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) season. History and format The competition was founded in 1966, by the German Basketball Federation. The first final of the German Basketball Cup took place on 11 June 1967, in Oberhausen. 2018–19 Pro A Season
The 2018–19 Pro A season, for sponsorships reasons the Jeep Élite, was the 97th season of the Pro A, the top basketball league in France organised by the Ligue Nationale de Basket (LNB). It was the second season with Jeep as main sponsor. The season started on 21 September 2018 with the regular season and ended on 25 June 2019 with the last game of the finals. LDLC ASVEL won its nineteenth French championship and its first one since 2016. In the finals, they defeated Monaco. Teams Promotion and relegation Hyères-Toulon and Boulazac Basket Dordogne were relegated after the 2017–18 season after the teams ended in the last two places. The LNB Pro A Leaders Cup, or French Basketball League Cup, is the annual national league cup competition for teams from the top-tier level of French professional basketball, the LNB Pro A. It was created in its current form in 2003 (after originally being founded in 1988). It is organized by the Ligue Nationale de Basketball (LNB), which also organizes the top two leagues of French professional basketball (Pro A, and Pro B). Inspired by the Spanish Copa del Rey (Spanish Basketball King's Cup), the ''Final Eight'' format has always been used. At the end of the first half of the regular season, the top eight teams (or the top seven teams and the tournament's host team) from the first division French LNB Pro A League qualify.
